Abdulahi Sharif Abdulahi Sharif 5'8" | 155 lbs | DB Lincoln | 2025 State CA (Lincoln) is the most proven of the bunch and will take his talents to the reigning D1-AA state champion Lincoln Hornets.
Sharif transferred from Crawford to Lincoln this offseason after an extremely productive sophomore season in which he totaled 100+ tackles and 8 INTs. He’s a natural athlete and playmaker in all three phases of the game. He’s a rangy DB that can cover ground as a deep safety and consistently puts himself in position to make plays. He shows versatility playing close to the LOS and is a physical downhill tackler for a secondary defender. Sharif should draw plenty of interest for his DB ability in a program that’s known for producing some of the top talent at the position in San Diego.
Highlights
Reese is a budding cover corner for San Diego’s El Camino. He’s active in zone coverage using his timing, length, and instincts to jump routes. He offers a promising blend of physical tools and natural skill/instincts to refine and develop over the next few seasons. Reese has potential to be a breakout DB among San Diego’s 2025 class this upcoming season.
McClay figures to step into more playing time after the graduation of one of the most talented secondaries in California last season. He made most of his impact on special teams where he showed willingness and physicality as a tackler. His defensive reps came at CB and Nickel so it will be interesting to see how he’s used in an expanded role moving forward. McClay’s prospects should benefit from increased opportunities next season.
Fox is part of a young, talented core for St. Augustine. He’s an effective deep safety that showed ability to make plays in both cover 2 and 3 as a sophomore. He reacts to the football with compact breaks and is a physical tackler at the POA. Fox and the rest of the young talent for St. A’s should be exciting to watch grow and develop over the next few seasons.
