So much that the leader in Amatuer Sports(AAU), has taken a big step to get its first of many more to come New England 7v7 Tournaments held in New England. In this report, we will cover the rising prospects who stood out at this tournament that drew teams from Rhode Island, Maine, Connecticut, and Massachusetts to a central location to compete. The event was a huge success and ran smoothly throughout the entire two days. I can easily see this Spring Tournament event will become a premier event that many national 7v7 programs will want to attend in the future. The recruits below are listed in no specific order. This will be done in several reports. Here is Part 2
Jaden Moseley Jaden Moseley 6’3″ | 175 lbs | QB Lasalle Academy RI. | 2024 State New E (7v7 Program BTP “Behind the Pads”) “Moseley” was impressive with his accurate throws. Showed very good patience in his progressions and overall made very good decisions. He fits the position well and once can see he is easily comfortable with his skill set. He is a QB that is basically in the “next up” situation at his school and is on track to deliver this 2023 fall season. He displayed confidence in his arm during the event and made some very nice throws that showed his accuracy potential and it just stood out. He should see some college interest spike during the 2023 summer camp circuit after all said and done.
Krystian Pothel Krystian Pothel 6’0″ | 200 lbs | ATH Governor’s Academy | 2025 State New E (7v7 Program Outlawz Select) Another MVP of the weekend that was special and easily identifiable. The first thing that grabbed my attention was his speed. I saw him sprinting down field and could see he was different. In checking some times he has ran, he has been confirmed running a 4.5 40yrd. His athletic coordination is of high level and he has a burst in him that is recognizable. His vertical ability is also impressive. Hands are solid along with coverage skills that popped on defense. He is projected to me as a rising Div 1 recruit who will see his college interest rise after this 2023 college summer camp season. he has a well developed frame that has room for additional growth. A confident player with excellent talent. Loves to compete!!!!!!!
Highlights
Denzil Pierre Denzil Pierre 5’10” | 200 lbs | RB Phillips Academy | 2025 New E (7v7 Program ISI White) His frame caught my attention. He stands at a solid 5’10 and at first view, I could see he puts in the work needed to become bigger, faster, and stronger. His performance on the field during the day solidified his ability to play at the college level. What level of play that will be may after wait until after the 2023 summer season and may include senior season play. Why? He was held out of action last season due to transfer rules. He has no on “field game film” except from the 2021 season where he was seen as being a bit undersized but very athletic. rnSkip ahead to spring 2023, I can easily assure any coach, he is ready to perform at a high level. “Pierre” can jump, can bend (was doing back flips all day) and his athletic eye hand coordination is of high calliber. Oh… I must mention his speed and quickness was also impressive. I observed him playing MLB and coverage skills were awesome. He didn’t let a receiver go bye without giving them a hard chip to the chest area to let them know he was there and to slow down the route. Plays with experience and physical presence and this was 7v7 touch. Can’t wait to see him produce this 2023 season in a solid program at Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Ma.
Matthew Mullins Matthew Mullins 6’4″ | 215 lbs | TE Canterbury School. Ct | 2025 State New E (7v7 Program Nos Elite National) He was being “Mullins” once again with the one hand catches sticking to his large hands like glue. He makes one hand catches look naturally easy. He has range, hands, length in his legs and arms with more room for growth. Mullins is a large 6’4″ target and can handle the middle of the field catches that provide good Yac. He has exceptional balance, with eye and hand coordination that he seems to always be the one winning the jump balls in his direction. Plays physical and knows how to be aggressive with his hand checks at the line of scrimmage when being pressed. Will rarely miss any balls thrown in his direction. Can line up inside or outside.
“Mullins is a sleeper with many schools just finding out about him. I expect him to have some high interest through the 2023 spring season and into summer camp season with the likeliness of offers to come before senior season.
Matthes Harris (7v7 Program ISI Black) Grabbed my attention with his consistent effort and play along with his size. His was seen plucking balls out of the air with firm hands and repeated efforts. He will lay out for the catch if needed. He is gritty, lean, and athletic. He stands approximately 6’4″ in height with room for additional growth. Hass reliable hands and he plays like he loves the game.
