Denzel Pierre is one to watch this season. He was a late transfer last season and wasn’t eligible to play during the 2022 season.  He now returns for his senior campaign and entered with a splash. In his first varsity start, the senior rushed for 205 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries to help lead his team to victory.  He will be one college coaches will be hearing a lot about this season.

Denzil Pierre Denzil Pierre 5'10" | 200 lbs | RB Phillips Academy | 2025 State New E   (7v7 Program ISI White) His frame caught my attention. He stands at a solid 5’10 and at first view, I could see  he puts in the work needed to become bigger, faster, and stronger.  His performance on the field during the day solidified his ability to play at the college level.  What level of play that will be may after wait until after the 2023 summer season and may include senior season play.  Why? He was held out of action last season due to transfer rules.  He has no on “field game film” except from the 2021 season where he was seen as being a bit undersized but very athletic.  rnSkip ahead to spring 2023, I can easily assure any coach, he is ready to perform at a high level.  “Pierre” can jump, can bend (was doing back flips all day) and his athletic eye hand coordination is of high calliber. Oh…  I must mention his speed and quickness was also impressive.   I observed him playing MLB and coverage skills were awesome. He didn’t let a receiver go bye without giving them a hard chip to the chest area to let them know he was there and to slow down the route.  Plays with experience and physical presence and this was 7v7 touch.  Can’t wait to see him produce this 2023 season in a solid program at Xaverian Brothers in Westwood, Ma.
