Who are some of the top players in the State of Idaho? Find out here with part 1 of our way to early players of the year in the 5A ranks:
If you are talking about player of the year then you have to start with the reigning player of the year in 5A. Flowers is coming off a monster junior season that saw him walk away with a state championship which may mean more to him than being player of the year. Flowers torched the state of idaho to the tune of completing 71% of his passes with 3,009 yard, 32 TDs and just seven INTs. He has been offered by Arizona but it is just a matter of time before Flowers starts racking up more and more Division 1 offers. One of most pure passers in the state of Idaho along with the western side of the United States, Flowers is also a plus athlete that can really hurt you with his legs as well. It won’t surprise anyone if he puts up huge numbers as a senior and will be a formidable player to knock out of the top spot in the 5A ranks.
Had a great time competing with my guys at the Sac State camp. Thankful to receive my first offer from The University of Arizona. @ArizonaFBall @BrandonHuffman @bangulo @RHSTrojanFB @FatuMoala @coach_OFFA @247Sports pic.twitter.com/XTr1ezp8I6

Harsin is the not so new kid on the block as he is returning to the state of Idaho after being in Alabama. Harsin has had sort of a homecoming transfering to Eagle. Harsin is another plus athlete with a smooth throwing motion. You can tell Harsin is the son of a coach, with his command over not only the field but himself. He never seems to get rattled no matter what is going on around him. He football IQ is high as he constantly shows the ability to make the right play at the right time. He knows when to pull it down and run or when to throw the football away to save a sack. With all the weapons that he has at Eagle it will be no surprise that he will have huge numbers and if he leads the talented Mustangs to a state title it will only further his accolades after the season as the top player in the state.

McGee is primed for a huge season no matter where he plays on the field as he spent time for the Mavericks at Quarterback, Running back and Wide Receiver. His stats last year were ridiculous as he had 709 yards and 12 tds rushing, 18 receptions 156 yards receiving, to go along with one game at quarterback where he was 19/30 for 392 yards and 3 tds. It can be said that he might have a chance to win player of the year at three different positions as he can be a dominant player at each of the three. Its going to be up to the Mavericks how they use him this year but it won’t be a surprise that he is going to have a huge year at whatever position
Blessed to be named First Team All-Conference Running Back @IdahoStatesman @CoachBComptonMV @CoachCMacMVHS @AdamSisson_28 @M1ke_Jones pic.twitter.com/UOfxrxAHiI

he plays as a senior.
Hymas is another top quarterback in this loaded 2024 class that is going to have a huge senior year as he is the top dual threat in the entire state. He threw for just over 1100 yards with 7 touchdowns to go with 851 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Hymas can really do it all for the Rams as he has elite abilities to be a game changer. With a ton of talent returning for the Rams this season Hymas is primed to have a huge senior year but what shows up consistently is his toughness and leadership. He somehow someway gets the most out of his teammates and you can tell that they truly trust the signal caller to get them wins. Don’t be shocked that his name is going to be called constantly during games this season.
Thanks to my coaches and teammates for a great year! Here’s the intro to my Junior season highlights.
