Expert Analysis
Christian McAlvain | Prep Redzone Scout
Hymas was the unquestioned leader for the Rams as he was able to hurt teams with his legs and his arm. A true dual threat that has a great feel for escaping the pocket and extending plays. He is a formidable runner as he is not afraid of a little contact and has the speed to really hurt you without someone on him. A quick release that allowed him to get the football out to his playmakers in space. Where he made the most plays was with his ability to will his teams to wins this season and was really an unflappable player for the Rams.

Hymas is another top quarterback in this loaded 2024 class that is going to have a huge senior year as he is the top dual threat in the entire state. He threw for just over 1100 yards with 7 touchdowns to go with 851 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. Hymas can really do it all for the Rams as he has elite abilities to be a game changer. With a ton of talent returning for the Rams this season Hymas is primed to have a huge senior year but what shows up consistently is his toughness and leadership. He somehow someway gets the most out of his teammates and you can tell that they truly trust the signal caller to get them wins. Don’t be shocked that his name is going to be called constantly during games this season.

Hymas is your true dual threat in the class of 2024 for the state of Idaho. He has the ability to take the football to the house with his legs on every play. Really has a feel of a running back with the way that he is able to read holes and running lanes. His progression as passer has markedly improve from his sophomore year where he has started to develop his timing and ability to anticipate receivers in and out of their breaks. He shows the ability to get the ball out quickly and give his receivers a chance to catch the football at every level. He is showing the ability to process coverages and has good timing on the deep ball. Where his next step is coming is in the intermediate that place over the linebackers and under the safeties. His ability to espace the pocket is elite along with his playmaking abilities. Hymas really is a nightmare for opposing defenses as he can beat you with both his arm and his legs.
