Tonight, I will shed light on a handful of prospects that caught my eyes out of the community of 7000+ people just West of Bowling Green.
I was impressed with Takyon’s zoom in vision he brings to the table at the linebacker spot for his age, as he’s got a solid plethora of crash with his physicality. He also has a fluid amount of range he can cover from the linebacker spot as a prospect that unwinds with his athletic ability from sideline to sideline. On the offensive side of the ball, Takyon shows most of his reps as an H-Back but one that can be deadly when he presses the gas with his burst especially in the open field, as he has some agility that is going to continue to grow for the next several years. He also shows growth with his ball-tracking skills in pass coverage. He certainly looks like a swiss army knife you should see on our 2027 Kentucky rankings as we start looking at those prospects starting in mid-August.

Jamarion Gardner Jamarion Gardner 5'9" | 160 lbs | RB Russellville | 2027 State KY
Jamarion is already dangerous on special teams, as he’s a certified weapon with his great balanced speed and attacking vision. This kid is quite the attacker with his legs in the backfield as as a QB he’s not afraid to tuck it and get to the edges very quickly. Regardless if he’s on offense or special teams, Jamarion can make something out of nothing with his playmaking ability-gets out of high traffic areas a little too easily. The amount of big-play explosion this young man has is going to be fun to watch run its course over the next several years as I love this kid’s versatility on the football field with what he can give you.
Amarus Morrow
Amarus Morrow
The first skillset that popped out with Amarus is just how much twitch this youngster has when he accelerates and turns on his routes as his hips out up getting plenty of good separation from the secondary. I also like his awareness already to come back to the ball when the ball is off his line, which is not something commonly seen amongst junior high prospects that play the wide receiver position. To the secondary’s out there: this is not a wide receiver you want to dance with on the field especially when he’s pressing into the open field, as Amarus has a huge amount of change of direction to swing you in the direction you don’t want to go, and that consistency level is high throughout his tape. He already has a solid high-top ability and I expect his vertical to grow much bigger in the coming years, as I like the length this young man has brewing.
Montavious Allison
Montavious Allison
Montavious has some monstrous physicality no matter which side of the ball he lines up on at wide receiver and defensive back. He is a wide receiver you can certainly trust to come out on top and make those high-traffic catches. He plays with such long length and the more vertical this kid can grow he’s going to be scary in the coming years. Needs to develop more active footwork in the secondary, but the contact level that Montavious plays with will punch the ball carrier right in the mouth. Tay has some outstanding hands that will be one to watch in Kentucky’s 2027 class for sure.
Jacoveon Temple-Dickerson
Jacoveon Temple-Dickerson
Holy smokes can this young man fly into his routes, as Jacoveon might be the fastest wide receiver on this short list of junior high Kentucky prospects. Defensively, I also like the technique Jacoveon has with his footwork in the secondary as he has high activity in his backpedal. I also like how well Jacoveon adjusts to the football just off his route when the ball is slightly off line as that consistency will pay dividends once he gets into high school. The flash Jacoveon shows off as a swiss army knife on both sides of the ball is something special to watch for in the coming years.
Javiyion Smith
Javiyion Smith
The quick finding ability that Javiyion shows off for the linebacker positon shows off some instinctive skillsets when he pops into the backfield. I also like this young man’s football IQ, as he can adjust quickly to adjusted schemes the offense shows off with solid vision right over the ball carrier. Javiyion also caught my eye even as a 2027 LB prospect with his read steps to the ball as a prospect that can quickly adjust with his range of coverage. He also shows some skills at running back as I like his balance with contact around the edges of him being able to run thru it, not against it.
Taven Harris
Taven Harris
Taven shows off some fluid shedding ability off the first look of his tape and you can tell early, that he’s got the coverage area to cover from sideline to sideline and has some nasty physicality when he lays the wood on the ball carrier. The motor and burst on this kid with an open gap is not something the offense should take lightly as he’s one of the most speedy linebackers on this short list. Taven is a ball-hawk that just clings consistently to the football and I also really like his work ethic no matter where he lines up on the field. I can’t wait to scout this kid even more once he grows more into his frame, as he’s going to be a weapon in the coming years in my eyes.
