As the saying goes, “everything is big in Texas,” and we were able to see how big-time Texas players truly are. We endorsed several big-time playmakers who added a lot of value to their teams. We got to meet some of the most fascinating student athletes Texas has to offer. Let’s take a closer look at some of the finest playmakers at the Pylon Las Vegas event.
Tracy Tracy James has the route-running abilities to get open on every play and the ability to blast the top of opposing coverages. Tracy is an exceptional level route runner with the ability to catch any throw on the route tree. Northern Arizona University and Prairie View A&M both offered James.
Debraun is one of the most exceptional WRs from the high school team of five-star Quarterback Derek (DJ) Lagway Derek (DJ) Lagway 6’3″ | 215 lbs | QB Willis | 2024 State TX . He possesses outstanding route-running abilities and a wide catch radius. He has the ability to score as well as create a lot of space in the secondary. Debraun was instrumental in Lagway’s triumph last fall. Northern Arizona University and Prairie View A&M have both offered him a division one scholarship.

He has the ability to make you miss while simply completing his pass. Unique release with a powerful thrower in traffic. Eli has tremendous accuracy and throws with a lot of force. Eli’s biggest strength is his ability to remain calm under pressure and have a leadership mindset in both good and bad plays.
As we all know, defense wins championships, so let’s speak about one of the finest defensive players we saw in Las Vegas. We were able to see 2024 OLB Mitch Melton Mitch Melton 6’2″ | 220 lbs | LB Conroe | 2024 State TX in action. He has it all: size, speed, intelligence, and a fantastic feel for the ball. Mitch has a good understanding of the game and the ability to read, identify, and respond to any circumstance. Mitch presently has offers from UTSA, Columbia, Penn, and Dartmouth.

Tice Williams Tice Williams 6’3″ | 190 lbs | DB Conroe | 2024 State TX , a 2024 safety, was another noteworthy athlete. Tice has a lot of length that allows him to play from sideline to sideline. He has a thorough comprehension of the game. Tice has the same look as the Power 5 Safeties. He possesses fast feet, hip flexibility, and a seamless transition. Jakoby Dixon Jakoby Dixon 5’10” | 190 lbs | RB Brenham | 2027 State TX is truly is the crème of the crop. Jakoby has been considered one of the best athletes in the country. He has a unique skill set on both sides of the ball. Although his primary position as a running back, he is so athletic that he can play several positions. We chose Jakoby as the tournament MVP because he produced outstanding contributions on both sides of the ball. He is the Alpha Dog who keeps the squad on track. We see Jakoby as the next major name in his class to get an All-American invitation in 2027.
