Sooner Shootout: 15U Offensive Skilled Positions

Enjoy!</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Sooner State Shootout is in the books and it was a fantastic weekend of football in Broken Arrow! 65 teams from 8 different states came and&nbsp;<strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/2023/02/sooner-state-shootout-recap/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">four would walk away with championships in their respective divisions</a></strong>. In this post, I'm going to take a look at ten prospects in the 15U division that really stood out on the offensive side of the ball. Fuller caught my eye in the first game of the day on Saturday with his athleticism and ability to go and get the ball.  He was fast in his route-running abilities and knew how to create separation.  He was quick in making his cuts and sinking his hips getting in and out of his breaks.  Fuller was good in his crossing routes and getting open quickly to get up the field.  His best asset was able to create the space to give him the advantage or giving him the best opportunity to make the catch.  He showed good hands overall and was a leader out there for team YAYO.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":["not_in_db"],"_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":683625,"_player_evaluations_1_player_details_selected_featured_image":"field_62cca28ffa4e7","player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"Carterrious Brown ","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_player_name":"field_62aba4c9ecf2f","player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"2025","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_graduating_class":"field_62aba4ddecf30","player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"6'2u0022","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_height":"field_62aba4e8ecf31","player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"2410","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_position":"field_62aba4f0ecf32","player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"Seguin High School ","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_school":"field_62aba4fdecf33","player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"True Buzz","_player_evaluations_1_player_details_club_team":"field_62d20e723441a","player_evaluations_1_player_details":"","_player_evaluations_1_player_details":"field_62aba4afecf2e","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"Brown plays for Seguin HS and is in the class of 2025.  He stands in at 6'2u0022 and weighs roughly 160 pounds.  True Buzz is the 15U group that won the championship game versus a Sooner 7 team.  Brown wasn't hard to miss out on the field as he lined up as a wide receiver and wore the caution tape, do not enter.  Brown is a good-looking receiver with a nice frame who can still add weight without slowing him down.  He has a good catching radius and is more than likely coming down with any ball that comes his way.  Brown has strong hands with good body control.  His quarterback, u003ca href=u0022https://prepredzone.com/2023/03/prep-redzone-sooner-shootout-15u-top-qbs/u0022u003eChuck Smithu003c/au003e who we spoke about during the top 10 quarterbacks, put the ball in good placements for Brown to make the catch.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["570288"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"Since the 7 on 7 tournament hosted by Prep Redzone, Brame has picked up 3 more power 5 offers from the SEC, Big 12 and the Big 10.  Before the tournament had started, he already held offers from multiple power 5 schools.  One school that has offered him since the tournament was the University of Oklahoma.  Brame plays for his Sooner 7 team and is from Derby High School out of Kansas. He attends the same High School as a few fellow top standouts, from Shawnee Heights.  He is from the Topeka, Kansas area and measures in at 6'2u0022 and 170 pounds for his 7 on 7 team and also plays basketball for Shawnee Heights.  Parker is a long, lean, athlete who felt comfortable going over the middle to make his catches.  He has really nice hands and worked well on getting off man press.  He showed a good stem route to get off press and is quick to press vertical.  What I really like about Parker is he can run by you for a deep ball for a score or can run a comeback.  When he runs his comeback route, he sells the vertical and does a good job sinking his hips to turnaround quickly for the lived up to his name out on the field in Broken Arrow this past weekend.  Easley wasn't the biggest kid out there but maybe was one of my favorites to watch and is only a 2027 athlete.  Watching him out on the field I wouldn't have guessed he was a 2027 athlete just how he moved as a receiver.  MO7's Arete picked up steam on day two and it was due to large part of Easley.  When a big play was needed their quarterback could look his way or even for a first down, Easley was the guy.  Easley made several jump ball catches in the end zone for a touchdown and made it look easy.  The routes he ran underneath, he knew exactly how to create his separation from the defender to help his team out to catch the is from Bryant High School out of Arkansas.  He played with ICONS for this 7 on 7 tourney, and he didn't disappoint on the offensive side of the ball.  He was a top performer of the day on day 1 out in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  He is in the class of 2026 and stood at 5'11u0022 but was lethal for team ICONS.  He showed out and what impressed me about Wilson is he wasn't afraid to get after it and compete.  Wilson was going against bigger defenders at times, but he showed good body control and came down with the ball.  He has soft hands and was reliable for his quarterback, Kemp Keller (u003ca href=u0022https://prepredzone.com/2023/03/prep-redzone-sooner-shootout-15u-top-qbs/u0022u003eTop Standout Quarterbacksu003c/au003e), who was confident in getting him the ball.  Wilson worked and found ways to get open for Keller to deliver him the player_id='284117' first='Mason' last='James'] is with Sooner 7 and he played wide receiver and defensive back this past weekend.  James could have been added to the u003ca href=u0022https://prepredzone.com/2023/02/sooner-shootout-15u-2-way-standouts/u0022u003e2 way standout playersu003c/au003e article I wrote about the other day, but I came away with his receiving abilities.  James started for Norman North High School this past season playing defensive back.  With Sooner 7, James was able to show off a few things that I liked.  James does a great job catching the ball with his hands and not allowing it to get to his body.  He showed soft hands and would catch the ball at the highest point.  He did a good job creating separation running across the field and catching the ball in stride.  It will be interesting to watch James this upcoming season and see how he progresses on both sides of the is a smaller-stature athlete that packs a punch out on the field.  Roberts is a 2026 athlete that plays with EMPIRE 7 on 7 tournament team and Staley High School.  What separates him from other wide receivers is his ability to, not only create space, but just kept making play after play.  I liked his play-making ability and the way he competed on the field.  Roberts has good, reliable hands that helped EMPIRE throughout the weekend get off to a 2-1 start.  We look forward to seeing what Roberts can do in his sophomore was an interesting athlete to watch this past weekend.  Standing in at 5'9u0022 and weighing in at 155 pounds, Gregory was all over the field.  Gregory competes and finds ways to get open versus his competition.  I like how he runs his routes and sinks his hips to come back to the ball.  Gregory is a good athlete and was a leader out on the field for his team.  He also found open windows for his quarterback to get him the ball to move the field.  Gregory has good fundamental techniques to help separate him from other started for his high school team this past year and plays with True Buzz which won the 15U championship game.  Gebhardt can play in the slot or split out wide and made several acrobatic catches throughout the tournament.  He creates space no matter what position he is in on the field.  I like him in the slot where he can go in motion or keep him there to get off the line of scrimmage.  He is quick, fast off the ball, and has a good double move.  He showed several times he wants the ball in his hands and can make big things
