With some schools beginning to reach out to some of the upcoming stars in the game, it’s important to know about kids that are about to break the internet. The Class of 2027 is loaded with TONS of undiscovered talent around the country and here are some athletes that you need to know about now.
Micah Fleming is one of the biggest names coming out of the 2027 class as a defensive back. Recently relocating from Colorado to Alabama, the standout has shown that he is “that dude” very early on in his career. By moving down south, he’ll reunite with his former Quarterback and longtime friend Trent Seaborn at state powerhouse Thompson High School. Seaborn already holds a host of offers. Despite giving up notable size right now, Micah is one of the best at driving on shorter routes; He either breaks the pass up or takes it the other way with an interception. In the red zone, Micah proves to be more than capable of trailing the receiver and making sure he ends up between the receiver and the ball. From everything that I have seen, I do not doubt that Micah is one of the most technically sound corner’s in this class. If Micah keeps the pressure on and packs on more size, he could find himself on a lot of recruiting boards around the country.
Aidan Whitaker Aidan Whitaker 6’1″ | 170 lbs | DB Saguaro | 2027 AZ is another athlete that people need to know about sooner rather than later. Coming out of the Deserts of Arizona, Aidan sizes up to be around 5-foot-11 and 155 pounds. On the football field, Aidan has proven to be nothing short of spectacular in terms of skillset. With him being one of the fastest guys on the field, you’re going to find him blazing through coverages or maintaining coverage on receivers. With his athleticism, Aidan can make plays on the ball that you don’t necessarily see every day. His sure-handed nature makes Aidan a prime target for quarterbacks when they are trying to complete quick passes and move the offense. From everything that I have seen from Aidan, it is clear that he is projecting to end up as one of Arizona’s top prospects.
Georgia has always been known for producing some of the most impressive athletes in the game of football, and Brayden Tyson is no different. The Peach State running back stands at around 6 feet tall and weighs just over 200 pounds of solid muscle. From what I have seen, I am convinced that Brayden is one one of the fiercest runners in the running back position. The University of Arkansas agrees, and became his first offer in late February. With the size and power that Brayden has, it is clear that he’s one of the most difficult backs in the country to bring down, when he has the ball in his hands. With that, he matches that power with speed. Also displays the quick twitch needed for him to turn up the heat when he needs to. With everything that I have seen from Brayden, it looks like he should have his pick of schools to choose from on NSD 2027.
Jaylan Ash is another rare breed, a high-caliber athlete that people need to know about. Coming out of The Boot, Jaylan measures to be around 5’11 and 140 pounds. Jaylan is a dual sport athlete that has proven explosion with his ability to touch the rim from his height on the basketball court. On the football field, Jaylan is one of the smoothest runners that I have seen at the receiver position and seems to emulate his game to the liking of NFL star DeVonta Smith. Ash is truly a big play machine on either side of the ball. It will be interesting to see how Jaylan develops between the two positions. No matter what side of the ball he ends up on, Jaylan is going to destroy the competition. I am expecting big things to come from Jaylan in the future.
Highlights
Jordan Hamm is one of the more physically impressive players in this 2027 class. The Tar Heel State athlete stands 6’1 and 210 pounds, and playing and moving well for his size. With his size and speed, Jordan seems to be almost impossible to handle off of the ball. Jordan’s explosive edge allows him to be a force on the defensive side of the ball, with some impressive state production at the same time. From everything that I have seen from Jordan, it is clear that competition comes naturally to him. Whether he is on the football field or the basketball court, Jordan plays a tough and physical style of ball. I look forward to seeing where he ends up, because he’s more or less somewhere behind a Linebacker and Defensive End.
