The PRZ Music City Mayhem 7v7 tourney has come and gone and we saw plenty of standout performances throughout the various divisions. Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone throughout the week for more breakdowns on each division and some of the various positions. In this post, we’re putting a spotlight on the best of the best on the offensive side of the ball. From running backs to wide receivers and tight ends, these five prospects turned heads throughout the tournament. If you’re wondering where the quarterbacks are, we broke down the top guys at that position RIGHT HERE. And if you’re curious about the two-way standouts, you can check out that breakdown RIGHT HERE!
Our first offensive standout is C4’s 2025 running back Caden Knighten Caden Knighten 6’1″ | 180 lbs | RB Pauls Valley | 2025 State OK out of Wynnewood, Oklahoma. Knighten is absolutely blowing up this offseason and while he was at the Prep Redzone tournament, he also went on visits to Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt and earned offers from both. Knighten is already considered one of the top overall playmakers in Oklahoma’s 2025 class and he put that athleticism and playmaking ability on full display throughout the weekend. I’ve had the chance to see Knighten quite a bit this offseason and something new that really stood out to me in Tennessee was his motor and his ability to hit a gear that not many others have. At the end of the day, it’s a 7v7 tournament in the offseason but Knighten was going all out like a championship was on the line.
Highlights
Isaiah Rigsby
Isaiah Rigsby
South Warren 2024 wide receiver Isaiah Rigsby was one of the more clutch performers throughout the tournament, specifically in bracket play on Sunday. Rigsby helped his Tennessee Select team move on in bracket play after a win in double overtime. In the second OT, Rigsby would make a spectacular touchdown catch, followed by another impressive catch for the game-winning two-point conversion. Rigsby had a great tournament and the 2024 wide receiver from Kentucky showed that not only can he make some pretty special plays, but that he can do them when the pressure and attention is ramped up. There were quite a few big play wide receivers that were on hand throughout the weekend but seeing Rigsby make those big plays in big moments put him near the top of the list.
Jamir Fox
Jamir Fox
We go to North Carolina and back to the running back position for our next playmaker. While playing with the Dolphins Xtreme group, Ashbrook 2024 running back Jamir Fox was one of the top running backs in attendance and has us very excited to see what he can do when the pads come on this fall. Fox is absolutely built and you can only imagine what he looks like when he’s able to use his physicality, lower the shoulder and deliver some hits. But in the tournament, he couldn’t take advantage of that so he had to make more finesse plays and that was no problem. Fox made some of the best catches of the weekend on Saturday during pool play. He was also automatic in the short pass game over the middle. Simply put, Fox should not be under the radar moving forward.
2024 wide receiver Jeremiah Madlock Jeremiah Madlock 6’2″ | 185 lbs | WR City | 2024 IA out of Iowa was near the very top of the list for my favorite playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Few receivers made more big plays and catches than Madlock while he was playing for the Fire Dragons. Madlock made some spectacular catches throughout the two days in Tennessee and he just looks the part while he’s running around. He has a huge catch radius with a lengthy wingspan and Madlock showcased the rare combination of hands, speed and strength throughout the weekend. Madlock had the speed to create space between him and a defensive back and then when he needed to make a tough catch, he had the strength and hands to go up and get the ball. Madlock is another prospect that should no longer be under the radar moving forward.
Wilson Hodges
Wilson Hodges
Our final playmaker is a 2025 tight end out of Alabama in Wilson Hodges who played with Alabama Legends. Hodges was arguably the best tight end prospect in attendance throughout the weekend in Tennessee. Hodges, who stands at 6’5, was a massive target for the Alabama Legends on Saturday and Sunday. Then we talked with several coaches and found out that his recruitment is starting to take off. Between 7v7 and camps, Hodges is having a really good offseason and has started earning offers from Marshall and Southern Miss. That should be just the beginning for the standout from Montgomery. Hodges is a very impressive prospect when it comes to the physical attributes and it’s not just the height. His hands are outstanding and they were on full display.
