Madlock is a burner. The kid is a big play waiting to happen. Along with exceptional speed, the senior has some serious explosiveness to him. When he gets going, he uses his strides which allow him to easily eat up cushion. He releases off the line very fluently and precisely which shows he knows how to create separation. Madlock also has the ability to start and stop out of his routes quickly and effectively. He is a receiver that can flip between playing in and outside at the next level with his ability. He can be extremely versatile.

I’ve scouted Madlock three times this season. The senior wideout proved to be a big-play receiver. He’s averaged 24.5 yards on 22 receptions with three touchdowns. At 6-1, 190, Madlock brings a good frame to position, allowing him to win on contested catches and shed tackles running after the catch. He’s a sound route runner.

Madlock is settling into the role of big-play receiver in the Little Hawk offense. He’s caught 14 passes for 328 yards (23.4 YPR) with two touchdowns. In the Boot, he hauled in five catches for 133 yards, including a 31-yarder he housed. Madlock (6-0, 175) offers good size at the position to go with solid speed. He makes plays in space.

out of Iowa was near the very top of the list for my favorite playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. Few receivers made more big plays and catches than Madlock while he was playing for the Fire Dragons. Madlock made some spectacular catches throughout the two days in Tennessee and he just looks the part while he’s running around. He has a huge catch radius with a lengthy wingspan and Madlock showcased the rare combination of hands, speed and strength throughout the weekend. Madlock had the speed to create space between him and a defensive back and then when he needed to make a tough catch, he had the strength and hands to go up and get the ball. Madlock is another prospect that should no longer be under the radar moving forward.
