Let's take an in-depth look at some of the talented 2025 quarterbacks that are flying under the radar.

2025 6'3 190 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='372391' first='Ethan' last='Houck'] - Brunswick

With a 57% completion percentage, 1,313 yards passing, and 18 touchdowns, it's safe to say that Brunswick Railroader quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='372391' first='Ethan' last='Houck'] put up tremendous numbers throwing the football in 2022. He also added 243 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns to go along with his elite passing stats. Houck proved himself as one of the top tier dual-threat quarterback prospects in the state of Maryland last Fall, and I am confident in saying that he's a high caliber D1 prospect. As part of the recruiting process, he will be attending Junior Day at Wake Forest this weekend, and I strongly encourage scouts to learn the name [player_tooltip player_id='372391' first='Ethan' last='Houck'].

2025 6'0 175 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='272254' first='Ahmir' last='Lowrey'] - Arundel

[player_tooltip player_id='272254' first='Ahmir' last='Lowrey'] showed flashes of greatness during his time at Pallotti last Fall. Now that he has transferred to Arundel High School, I believe that he will thrive in his new role as the starting quarterback for the Wildcats. Lowrey's arm talent is extremely evident when you watch him play, and his ability to throw on the run is very special. I think [player_tooltip player_id='272254' first='Ahmir' last='Lowrey'] and the Arundel Wildcats will accomplish great things on the football field this Fall, and I wouldn't be surprised if they're in the state championship discussion at the end of next season. [player_tooltip player_id='272254' first='Ahmir' last='Lowrey'] must be on scouts' watchlists.

2025 6'3 170 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='504797' first='Savion' last='Witherspoon'] - Dunbar

Dunbar High School won the Baltimore Region Maryland State Championship in 2022, and I wouldn't be surprised at all if [player_tooltip player_id='504797' first='Savion' last='Witherspoon'] leads them to another ring in 2023. As he led the Owls to an undefeated Fall season, Witherspoon threw for 1,428 yards and 7 touchdowns along the way. He also took phenomenal care of the football, and he only threw 3 total interceptions on 65 pass attempts. [player_tooltip player_id='504797' first='Savion' last='Witherspoon'] is one of the most exciting young quarterbacks in Maryland, and he must be recruited as such. He demonstrated a lot of poise and maturity during a successful championship run last season. His accomplishments must not go unnoticed.

2025 6'3 195 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='504745' first='Bradley' last='Seiss'] - Loyola Blakefield

Bradley Weiss finished the 2022 season ranking above the national average in every statistical passing category available. He threw for over 1,500 yards and 14 touchdown passes, and he averaged over 150 passing yards per game. The Dons have a very bright future with [player_tooltip player_id='504745' first='Bradley' last='Seiss'] under center for them, and I believe Loyola Blakefield will have a bounce back season after finishing with a 2-4 MIAA record in 2022. All eyes must be on [player_tooltip player_id='504745' first='Bradley' last='Seiss'] and the Dons this Fall, because they're going to have revenge on their minds in 2023.

2025 6'1 180 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='374415' first='Darius' last='Burley'] - North County

[player_tooltip player_id='374415' first='Darius' last='Burley'] is another quarterback, who put up strong numbers last season, that is flying under the radar right now and for no good reason. His numbers were incredible across the board last Fall, and they truly speak for themselves. Burley threw 1,531 passing yards and 15 touchdowns in 2022, and that's without mentioning his incredible success running with the ball. He already has a lot of interest from elite D1 power five conference programs such as Virginia Tech and Penn State, so it's clear that some of the wiser scouts are already on notice. [player_tooltip player_id='374415' first='Darius' last='Burley'] is definitely a premier quarterback prospect in the state of Maryland's 2025 class.
