Let’s take a look…
Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA – QB – Carrollton
In the 2026 class, you have to start with elite quarterback, Julian Lewis Julian Lewis 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Carrollton | 2025 GA . There was a lot of hype surrounding the 6-foot-1 180-pounder coming into his freshman season last year, and the big-armed quarterback more than lived up to the hype, leading the Trojans all the way to the 7A state championship game. As a freshman playing against quality 7A defenses on a weekly basis, Lewis played like an experienced veteran, making big throws consistently all season long. He had one of the best freshman seasons in Georgia high school football history, throwing for 4,118 yards and 48 touchdowns last year. He showed elite arm talent, eye-opening accuracy, great pocket presence, and the ability to make big throws down the field. He can throw with zip, but also knows how to put touch on the ball as well. His ball placement is phenomenal for someone his age, and he plays with a calm demeanor that you rarely see from freshman quarterbacks. He’s a special talent and has a chance to be the No. 1 prospect in the entire country for thee 2026 class. Look for him to break plenty of passing records by the time his high school career is over.
Tyler Atkinson Tyler Atkinson 6'3" | 185 lbs | LB Grayson | 2026 State GA – OLB – Grayson
Another easy 5-star talent, Atkinson made his mark early and often last season as a freshman for one of the top overall programs in Georgia. At 6-foot-2 and 190-pounds, Atkinson is a long, athletic defender with a frame that will allow him to continue putting on good weight and muscle over the next several years. A terrific young pass-rusher who is turning into a dependable every-down linebacker, Atkinson is technically sound and knows how to shed blocks on his way to the quarterback. Even as a freshman, Atkinson was tough to stop all year long and had his way with most of the opposing offensive tackles he went up against. He’s lightning quick off the edge and shows plenty of upper-body strength as well. A stout run defender already, Atkinson’s ability to get after the quarterback is what makes him so special. He consistently finds his way to the ball-carrier and knows how to tackle as well as anyone across the state in the 2026 class. He ended his freshman season with an outstanding 112 tackles and an incredible 22 TFLs to go along with eight sacks. He’s the No. 2 prospect in the state for the 2026 class and should be a top-10 prospect in the country down the road.
Deuce Geralds – DL – Collins Hill
Another young defender who entered his freshman season with lots of hype, it’s safe to say Geralds exceeded every expectation last fall. Another disruptive defender with plenty of size and strength for his age already at 6-foot-3 240-pounds, Geralds has big, strong hands and is already a physically imposing defender for the Eagles. He may be young, but he showed he’s a game-changing type of defender, even in the 7A class. He was tough to block all year long, and he was going up against talented offensive linemen on a weekly basis last year. He’s big, fast, strong, and was extremely productive last year, totaling 66 tackles with an impressive 17.5 TFLs and 10.5 sacks. He lived in the backfield last season and beat some really impressive offensive linemen along the way. He uses his hands well to shed blocks and eats up running lanes with ease. He has easy 5-star potential and was one of the top overall defenders in the area last season, and did it as a freshman. He holds plenty of top D1 offers and has a chance to bee a 5-star prospect nationally sooner than later. Right now, Prep Redzone ranks him as the No. 3 prospect in Georgia for the 2026 class.
Zelus Hicks Zelus Hicks 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Parkview | 2026 State GA – Parkview
One of the top young defensive backs in the state, Hicks already had D1 size and an excellent frame for his age at 6-foot-3 175-pounds. A dynamic and explosive running back during his middle school days, Hicks made a big impact from the very start of his Parkview career, making play after play against quality 7A opponents every week. Hicks has natural playmaking ability and a frame that translates well to safety. He’s long, athletic, rangy, and shows tremendous ball skills for his age. He has something special, and earned a starting role in his very first career game last year, even recording a big INT in last year’s season opener. His ability to cover, as well as help against the run, makes him an easy choice eat No. 4 in the latest update. Like the three players in front of him, Hicks has a chance to push for 5-star status in the 2026 class when the time comes down the road.
