Continue ReadingAlready on the Prep Redzone Next National Watchlist for the class of 2027, Richey displayed that he has outstanding lateral agility; his jump cuts combined with stop-start ability make him difficult to get a hold of. The Alabama workhouse back has that type of quickness and lateral agility to make defenders miss in space. Displayed excellent hands in 1v1’s against the LB’s, catching the ball with one hand numerous of times. He has the potential to be a special baller over the next four years and beyond.

Another prospect already on the Prep Redzone Next National Watchlist, Beard brings a nice blend of power and receiving game skills. The nephew of former Heisman Trophy finalist, 1st round pick and 10-year NFL vet Garrison Hearst, the apple didn’t fall from the (family) tree. He has a compact build and a naturally low center of gravity. Ran smoothly, with excellent balance, throughout his drills. This will give Beard the ability to run through traffic, allowing him to squeeze through for yardage. I also saw that Beard runs with a good forward lean, this will give him the ability to consistently fall forward on his rushing attempts. He recently announced he’ll be suiting up for the 14-time State Champion, Lincoln County Red Devils, for high school.

The MVP of the Running Back position, Martin II is a natural pass catcher who can be used on screen and swing passes, and Martin II has the ability to flex out as a matchup chess piece. He runs routes as well as most receivers at this stage and has natural hands, snatching the ball away from his body. His competitiveness and knack for high-pointing the ball allow him to play bigger than his size. Any offensive coordinator would love to have him in their offense, because of his ability and versatility. Just prior to camp, Martin II announced he will be re-classifying to the class of 2028. Meaning the South Carolina native could become the first Prep Redzone Next camp attendee to win multiple MVPs at our camp.
