Victor Oliver, OLB, 2024 – Victor is fun to watch on film because he plays with much passion and aggression. He plays a hybrid role as OLB on the LOS and a SS type who aligns over number 2. He reads plays well and has violent hands to lockout and destruct blocks. He maintains an edge with leverage on the ball. He tackles really well in the open field and off of blocks. He can cover the short and intermediate zones with quickness. He gets his head on a swivel and closes on the ball. He had great stats this past season and was at times a game changer. Keep an eye on him this offseason.
Struthers
Na’Jier Howard, QB, 2024 – Na’Jier is a stud from NE Ohio. He has great size and strength at 6’3/190. He has a big time arm and with the flick of the wrist can sling it 50 yards down the field. He has great mechanics and works on his craft year round. He transferred into Struthers and has good timing and command despite not much experience with the receiving corp. He is a great athlete and makes defenders miss. He is a sure fire great college football player.
Caleb Sakara, DE, 2024 – Caleb is a beast of DE. He stands 6’0 and weighs 250 with excellent strength. He is athletic and flexible. He gets off the ball low and hard with violent hands. He reads blocks well and adjust accordingly. His block destruction is very good with quick escape. He maintains his gaps and tackles well in the hole. I am really impressed with his pass rush. He has a speed rush with great bend around the corner. He hammers the tackle with his bull rush and rocks them back. He makes his presence know with the QB. Very impressive player with a lot of upside.
Licking Valley
Alek Diller, FS, 2025 – Alek is an excellent football player. He plays the FS position with the toughness of a defensive lineman. He commands the backend and reads plays really well. He is a big time hitter in the run game and hammers ball carriers on the LOS and in the Gaps. He is very tough to block and runs like a madman to the ball. His backpedal is patient and his technique on the long and short throws is advanced for his age. He hawks the ball and makes plays. He will be highly sought after the next two seasons on the college front.
