Zay Furman, DE, 2024 – Zay is a good football player with a lot of upside. He stands 6’1 and weighs 215 pounds and is very strong. He comes off the ball with a flat back and violent hands. He gets to lockout quickly and escapes blocks easily. He reads blocks well and transitions seamlessly between run/pass. He maintains his gaps and runs hard to ball away. His pass rush is advanced where he bends well and gets after the QB. He has a developed dip and rip move in addition to a speed rush.
Cameron Garcia, DB/Ath, 2024 -Cameron is an outstanding football player and has the stats to back it up. He had some great visits this past off season to D1 schools. He is athletic and twitchy at CB. He reads plays well and transitions quickly between run and pass. He has a patient backpedal with good weave. He stays over the top of the fade and posts and quickly closes space on the short and underneath routes. He tackles well and destructs blocks easily on the outside. His ball skills are really good. He plays the ball through the hands and isn’t afraid to go for the big play. Certainly worth a look this off season.
Jordan Wheeler, DB, 2024 – Jordan is a very good Safety and will have a great Senior campaign. He is fast, athletic, and physical. The best part of his game is the aggression he shows in the run game. He reads the plays well and gets downhill quickly. He is a great tackler at the point of attack. His backpedaling is very good and he stays over the top of the deep routes and closes quickly on the short ones. He has excellent ball skills and battles for the ball when it is in the air. Look for him to climb the recruiting rankings this off season.
Westerville Central
Anthony Leist, WR/DB, 2025 – Anthony is going to be a great Varsity CB. He played primarily on the JV squad this season and had a dominant year. He has great ball skills and plays through the hands and makes opportunistic plays. He is patient in his backpedal and stays over the top of the fade and post routes. He closes fast on in breaking routes and triggers downhill like lightning on the short throws. He is a good tackler with good wrap and hip drive. Impressive player with room to grow.
St. Vincent St. Mary
Denim Shadie, DL, 2024 – Denim is an outstanding defensive lineman with a lot of upside. He is fast and physical. He comes off the snap quickly and gets to lockout. He maintains his gaps well and runs with his hair on fire to the ball away. He reads plays well and destructs blocks properly. He gets his hands up in pass rush and does the little things well. He has a good speed rush in addition to the dip/rip, and bull rush. He has a high GPA and will be a great college player someday.
