Let's take a closer look at the top performers of the Fall season from the 2025 class.

2025 6'4 190 QB - [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] - Archbishop Spalding

You can't discuss the 2025 class without mentioning [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington']. Washington was the top performing quarterback in Maryland in 2022, and, with 29 touchdowns, 3,000 passing yards, and an MIAA Championship, he certainly possesses both the statistics and hardware to prove it. [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] is an incredible athlete who thrives on the basketball court during the offseason, and he leads by example, as he does on the football field. He already has D1 power five conference offers from programs like Rutgers, Arkansas, Boston College, WVU, and Duke, but these are certainly just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the offers that will be coming Washington's way. [player_tooltip player_id='272253' first='Malik' last='Washington'] is one of the nation's best and most elite quarterbacks in the loaded class of 2025, and it's going to be truly special to watch him play yet again next season because his dual-threat game was absolutely unstoppable in 2022.

2025 6'3 190 DB - [player_tooltip player_id='273395' first='Faheem' last='Delane'] - Good Counsel

[player_tooltip player_id='273395' first='Faheem' last='Delane'] proved this year that he's one of the best young players out of the defensive secondary in the country. He completely dominated opposing offenses in every regard, and he was a tackle machine when stopping both the run and the pass for Good Counsel. Even as Delane continues to develop and grow, his ceiling couldn't be higher given that he already has offers from the best of the best such as Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, and USC. He is going to make a massive impact at the next level wherever he chooses to play, and there's zero doubt in my mind that [player_tooltip player_id='273395' first='Faheem' last='Delane'] is a top 3 2025 defensive player in the DMV. Good Counsel will have very strong WCAC title aspirations in 2023 with [player_tooltip player_id='273395' first='Faheem' last='Delane'] leading the charge for the Falcons on defense.

2025 6'3 265 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='372441' first='Trent' last='Wilson'] - St. John's

The 2022 MaxPreps All-American and back to back WCAC Champion, Trenton Wilson, stifled offenses all season long, and he made a large percentage of his tackles in the opposing backfield for big losses. His quickness as a DT on the interior line is off the charts incredible, and he's able to beat opposing offensive linemen to ball carriers early and often. The question is not whether or not Trenton Wilson will thrive at the next level, but rather, where will he thrive at the next level? He already has offers from Alabama, Georgia, Oregon, Maryland, Notre Dame, and many others. Wilson is truly a dynamic defender, and whichever program lands him is signing an absolute star.

2025 5'11 170 RB - [player_tooltip player_id='218627' first='Peyton' last='Nelson'] - Good Counsel

Peyton “Pey Pey” Nelson is an extremely elite 4 star running back, and he recently transferred from Good Counsel to St. Frances Academy in Baltimore. With Durell Robinson headed to UNCC, [player_tooltip player_id='218627' first='Peyton' last='Nelson'] will take on a primary role as a ball carrier for the SFA Panthers. He's an extremely elusive and quick running back with a lot of speed, and I believe that his skillset will mesh perfectly with the St. Frances offense. Nelson already has offers from elite programs such as Oregon, Penn State, Syracuse, and more, and he'll definitely receive even more offers after what will almost certainly be another breakout year for him in 2023.

2025 6'2 210 DL - [player_tooltip player_id='218626' first='Nathaniel' last='Owusu-Boateng'] - DeMatha

[player_tooltip player_id='218626' first='Nathaniel' last='Owusu-Boateng'] has a ton of high-level potential, and he put forth by far his best season yet in 2022. He's the #3 ranked defensive lineman overall in his class, and his efforts were integral to DeMatha's run to the title game in the Fall. He currently has power five conference offers from Michigan, Notre Dame, Maryland, Pitt, and many others. If you're a defensive scout anywhere then you must know the name [player_tooltip player_id='218626' first='Nathaniel' last='Owusu-Boateng'].
