Peyton may not have has as big of a day in term of overall numbers as others, but he made key impact plays that propelled Wise over their rivals in CH Flowers. On the first drive of the game, Peyton capped it off by taking a screen pass into the endzone. Running by and through some arm tackles he burst his way in to put Wise up 7-0. Later in the first half he went up the seam from the slot, beat the defender over the top and went to secure an athletic 1 handed snag. This put Wise on the 1yd line where they were able to punch in another score to go up 14-0. Through out the game Peyton secured a few other big catch & runs which moved the chains and helped Wise stay in control of the game. Nelson’s ability to be a versatile piece in the offense, showed his value and playmaking ability as he was the key piece in Wise getting off to a strong start propelling them to a big victory.

PeyPey came to Wise last fall after spending his first 2 years at Good Counsel. He put together a strong season for the Puma, coming just shy of 1,000 yds rushing, over 1,500 total yds and 15 total TDs. Peyton is an offensive weapon for this team. He’s a rocked up RB who is capable of running with some power behind those pads. A threat to make a house call every time he touches the ball, Peyton is a nice combo of speed & quickness. He has shifty feet and will hit the hole and go. Peyton is a threat in the passing game as well. Either out of the backfield or lined up in the slot, he is a do it all playmaker perfect for today’s style.
Peyton currently holds double digit offers at the Power 4/FBS level and is an uncommitted 2025 prospect who will be a hot commodity this fall for teams needing a player with some juice.

Nelson put on an offensive clinic this season in the run game and as a receiver. On the ground he has breakaway speed and accelerates dangerously fast, but despite his speed elusiveness and 180lb frame he runs with an attitude. He always breaks the first tackle, shows aggressiveness with his stiff arms and can run clean through tackles when he lowers his shoulder. Nelson has been impressing scouts since his freshmen year at wcac power good counsel, he’s on track to lead Wise to another state championship appearance next season.
