Carter Hancock Carter Hancock 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Higley | 2023 State AZ , WR, Higley ’23
Hancock led the state in receiving yards, putting up a massive 1,727 yards and 18 TD’s as he established a lethal connection with standout QB Jamar Malone. Hancock was dangerous after the catch and really took on the role of being a big play threat. Really good balance and COD and possesses good top end speed to be super tough to catch in space. He holds a handful of offers, but remains uncommitted, and I think he will be an absolute gem for whichever program lands him.
Brandon Phelps Brandon Phelps 6'3" | 195 lbs | WR American Leadership Academy - Gilbert North | 2024 State AZ , WR, ALA-Gilbert North ’24
Phelps went on to catch 97 passes for 1,710 yards and 28 TD’s (leading the state in TD receptions). I’ve been raving about Phelps since his freshman season as he possesses that prototypical X/Z frame at 6’4″ 205lbs and checks all the boxes to produce at the P5 level. HEerecently committed to Arizona, and he’ll have another year to put up big time numbers and be that top WR in the state. Really excited about the future for Phelps.
Duce Robinson Duce Robinson 6'6" | 230 lbs | TE Pinnacle | 2023 State AZ , TE, Pinnacle ’23
Robinson was an absolute game changer for Pinncale, which comes to no surprise as he’s definitely one of the most gifted prospects we’ve seen in a while. He racked up 1,614 yards and 14 TD’s and was a definite mismatch from anywhere, all year. Even when double teamed or bracketed, Robinson hauled in anything thrown in his direction given his frame and catch radius. After the catch, he was also a nightmare to bring down possessing excellent balance and physicality and moved tremendously well. It’s going to be interesting to see which program lands the multi-sport phenom.
Austin Johnston Austin Johnston 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Eastmark | 2023 State AZ , WR, Eastmark ’23
Johnston was a clear WR1 over at Eastmark, as he pulled in 77 catches for 1,562 yards and 22 TD’s, establishing himself as one of the most dominant players in 3A. Excellent athleticism all across the board as he can line up on both sides of the ball and be that game changer. He holds a plethora of D2 and D3 offers, and just received a PWO from New Mexico State.
Joseph Mccubbin, ATH, Tonnopah Valley ’23
Mccubbin is easily one of the most underrated players in Arizona. He had a crazy productive senior season by racking up 1,530 yards on 79 receptions with 22 TD’s, and did all of that in 12 games. Mccubbin possesses really good burst and twitch to frequently beat man coverage with his release. Good top end speed in space for big play ability, and was a major threat everytime he touched the ball all year.
