While it was a small group, these three really stood out and showed that they have a chance to have special high school careers–and potentially beyond. Let’s take a look at who made 1st team All-Camp at Linebacker. Truly, an athletically talented group.
Originally signed up for camp as a Wide Receiver, after a talk with PRZ Next National Scouting Director Al Pops about his position projection, Wallace switched to Linebacker. All the 6-foot-1, 190-pound standout did after that was pick up MVP honors. Hailing from Iowa, Wallace showed his elite athleticism and quick instincts. He had textbook technique when picking the right angle to track down the ball carrier. He also stood out in pass coverage, breaking up multiple passes in the 1 on 1 portion. From what I could see, it looked like Wallace had a massive wingspan and that could help him continue to fill out his body and possibly grow into more of a Defensive End. He really can play any position on the field at a high level. I really think Wallace has a chance to have a special high school career and beyond.

I really liked what I saw from Carlos Blount Jr.. Standing a well-put together 6-foot and 185-pounds, he was very mobile for his size and had a quick first step. Clocking in with a 5.24 forty, Blount looked the part in a sideline to sideline, tackling machine. He had the quick instincts and make up speed to intercept a pass in the 1 on 1 portion of the camp. He has the intangibles to be a heck of a linebacker at the High School level. Expect to hear a lot more out of this Iowa native.

Brice Johnson Brice Johnson 5’9″ | 205 lbs | LB Zane Trace | 2027 OH had an impressive camp to say the least. The Ohio prospect was right there in the running with the pair of Iowa boys listed above. With the thick, muscular 5-foot-9 and 190-pound build he possesses, I think he has the ability to be a violent tackler. Brice possessed everything you want in a linebacker. I liked his ability to change his direction with ease, personified by his 4.63 in the shuttle and 7.71 in the L-Drill. His soft hands will really help him in pass coverage. Overall, Johnson had a great camp and I think he will be one of the better Linebackers to come out of Ohio in 2027.
