Both Eric McGill and [player_tooltip player_id='208615' first='Curtis' last='Horras'] had breakout junior campaigns.

McGill, from Woodbury Central, and Horras, of Colfax-Mingo, surpassed 1,000 yards receiving last fall. They each had averages of almost 22 yards per catch while scoring a combined 31 touchdowns.

Not bad, men, not bad at all.

In fact, Woodbury Central featured three top receivers in the state, as Will DeStigter and Kyan Schultzen each went over 760 yards.

First Team - [player_tooltip player_id='208615' first='Curtis' last='Horras'] - Colfax-Mingo - Junior

[player_tooltip player_id='208615' first='Curtis' last='Horras'] didn't have the same openings in his offense as others last year. Yet, opposing defenses still could not contain him. Horras finished with 49 receptions for 1,058 yards with 15 trips to the end zone. He boasted an average of 21.6 yards per reception.

The offense for the TigerHawks should be even better in 2023, as both quarterbacks return after throwing for over 1,000 yards each. And they'll have Horras, who also had over 30 tackles and three interceptions on defense while averaging double figures in kickoff and punt returns.

Second Team - Eric McGill - Woodbury Central - Junior

The pressure will be on Eric McGill next year, as several talented players graduate from Woodbury Central. However, he will have his quarterback back in [player_tooltip player_id='248046' first='Drew' last='Kluender'], and it is obvious they have a strong connection. McGill caught 49 passes for 1,062 yards with 16 touchdowns, averaging 21.7 yards per catch.

He also had 32 solo stops, recovered two fumbles and picked off two more passes. In the return game, McGill averaged 17 yards per kickoff and 16 yards per punt.

Third Team - Grayson Carolan - Alburnett - Senior

With almost 20 yards per catch and 11 trips to the end zone, Alburnett senior Grayson Carolan earned his spot on this list. Carolan finished with 37 receptions for 730 yards, including a 77-yarder.

He was also part of the Alburnett defense when he wasn't busy picking up first downs on offense.

Honorable Mention

Woodbury Central's "other" receivers, Will DeStigter and Kyan Schultzen, had incredible seasons, as did Riverside's Ayden Salais, Ogden's Jack Christensen and LeMars Gehlen's [player_tooltip player_id='104718' first='Keaten' last='Bonderson'].
