Jace Cameron Jace Cameron 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Avon | 2026 State IN – Avon – QB – 5’10” 165lbs – 2026
Cameron is in a good spot to sit and learn for a year if he doesn’t win the job. He’s currently behind, in my opinion, one of the better QBs in the 2024 class in Reynolds. However, it won’t stop Cameron from competing and letting it rip. He throws a nice ball that has quite a bit of touch on it. He’s able to do the famous moon ball and drop it in a bucket right over the top of the receiver’s shoulder. He’s a lefty who can make just about every throw fairly easily. While he doesn’t have the biggest arm and his footwork can be fairly choppy, he’s young and learning. He seems to process what’s in front of him fairly well and doesn’t put the ball in harm’s way very often. Cameron seems to really thrive throwing on the run and making plays using his arm that way. Throwing to his left, for obvious reasons, is a breeze for him. He’s also able to be moving right and go cross-body to deliver the ball. Cameron looked really good in JV last year and showed he’s capable of being a good starter when his time comes. I anticipate him coming in and giving Reynolds everything he’s got and if he doesn’t win the starting job this year, he’s going to rip JV defenses a new one. He’ll then start the year after, worst case scenario. No matter what though, Avon is sitting very pretty at the QB position for years to come.

Kaden Bruhn Kaden Bruhn 6'0" | 160 lbs | ATH Mooresville | 2025 State IN – Mooresville – ATH – 5’10” 160lbs – 2025
Bruhn is a fantastic athlete who plays on both sides of the ball. Offensively at WR and defensively at CB. He’s shown potential on both sides and is still getting a feel for how explosive he can be. He’s quick and can make quick cuts. He looks longer and lengthier than the 5’10” he’s listed at. He’s able to go up and bring the ball down, get separation on an out-breaking cut, and catch balls going down to the ground. With fantastic ball skills he’s really just a threat from anywhere on the field if given a shot. Defensively, you see the same hands, but a player who is aggressive and actually seems to see the field better on that side of the ball. He’s got great timing and will jump routes and take his shot at the ball regularly. While it can become an issue if you whiff, Bruhn’s multiple pick 6’s on the year proved to be fairly impactful. Bruhn has looked incredible on JV the past few years developing and coming along. This fall he should have his chance to do it on the big stage and show what he’s capable of.

Alex Grove Alex Grove 6'2" | 160 lbs | DB Greencastle | 2026 State IN – Greencastle – ATH – 6’0″ 160lbs – 2026
Grove is someone who might be a touch ahead of schedule in terms of varsity playing time this young. As a freshman, Greencastle trusted him at CB on his own a lot of the time. He’s a good athlete who can turn and run. He’s able to track the ball over his shoulder and time it to go for a breakup. His 2 interceptions this year showed that he’s not only capable of being out there, but he’s capable of making plays which is what you want to see from young guys being thrown into the fire. He didn’t panic, he reacted and developed. The game slowed down for him as the year went on and towards the year’s end, he looked like a fairly decent Corner. Grove is having success at Corner, but he still may be a better receiver when the time comes. He’s got fantastic hands, is able to make some impressive catches, and has good body control. I anticipate his roll growing over the next few years with another chunk of work comes his way this fall. Grove has himself right where he should be in terms of his development.

Cian McClamroch Cian McClamroch 5'10" | 245 lbs | OL Brebeuf Jesuit | 2025 State IN – Brebeuf Jesuit – C – 5’10” 250lbs – 2025
McClamroch just finished his second straight season being a varsity starter for one of the best programs in the entire state. The offense goes through him as he’s the Center. He leads the way up front and I love that after plays he’ll be talking to his other offensive linemen, even getting snippy when he needs to. When he snaps the ball, he flips that switch. He plays angry, yet under control. He wants to put his guy into the ground again and again. For a Center, he’s off the ball incredibly quick. His 5’10” frame gives him the low-man advantage 9 times out of 10 and his strong lower body keeps him home. He’ll clear the way in the run game and get under his guys pads. 0 sacks allowed this year with 51 recorded pancakes to give you an idea of the reliability he offers. By the time he graduates, he’ll likely have 4 years starting under his belt. With a ton of experience while playing at a high-level I anticipate McClamroch being one of the better offensive line recruits in the class. There’s a lot to like with where he is now and where he could be in a few years.

Jayjouir Pleasant Jayjouir Pleasant 5'11" | 200 lbs | LB Portage | 2026 State IN Jr – Portage – LB – 5’11” 180lbs – 2026
Pleasant is an upcoming LB for Portage who has the frame you love to see, especially as a freshman. He’s a real 5’11” 180lbs and looks like he could be bigger even by the time he graduates. He’s shown decent zone coverage skills as he’s able to pass off and trust his job. He won’t get caught with a double move or trying to jump a route early. However, he does have good ball skills and can pluck it out of the air and get a big return if it’s in his vicinity. While he has a great frame, I think there’s some work to do in controlling it a bit better and being more explosive out of it. I also think Pleasant is someone who could really flourish coming downhill in the running game. He’s physical and can really lay out a big hit when he wants to. Pleasant has shown some flash and some areas to grow in the coming years, but overall I think there’s good reason to be excited about him and what he can be. He’s also looked good at some camps already this winter showing the development since the season along. He’s a worker and just getting started, but keep an eye on him over the next few years as another potential big name.
