Top Mid-Small School Prospects
Darrin is first on this list, and he’s also the most highly-ranked player on this list. The 6’6 offensive lineman is an absolute mauler in the run game, oftentimes shoving lesser defenders over with little effort. On a run-dominated offense, he’s proven to be an elite run blocker. He’s performed so well at this D4 school that he’s earned an offer from Central Michigan! I’m delighted to see an elite O-Line prospect not from one of the big powerhouse programs, and cannot wait to see what his future holds.
Highlights
As I’ve stated before, Jake Chapman Jake Chapman 6’6″ | 205 lbs | TE Unity Christian | 2025 MI has absolutely incredible potential. Either as a TE or DE, if Jake is able to bulk up and consistently work on his game, he could be a Division 1 prospect.
As a Defensive end, I adore his instincts and tackle radius. His long body allows him to close the distance quickly, and his skillset has some real flashes. I expect Unity Christian to be a championship contender once more, and I expect Chapman to play a key role in their run.
The North Muskegon QB lit it up this season, sporting a 70% completion percentage with 2,022 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.
It’s safe to say that Young is the best passer in the Muskegon area, and if not for a 1st-round playoff exit, Young would have had a boatload more yards. Young throws the ball on a frozen rope, and I’m extremely impressed by his touch in the mid-range game. He has the ability to become a good college QB, and I hope to see improvements in his footwork, pass time, and it wouldn’t hurt to see what he could do in the run game.
James Young seems to be an extremely under-appreciated QB. Go check him out!
