Northern Kentucky has been an area of the state that has had an abundance of talent for a while now and this season was no exception. With that being said, I wanted to focus on some of the best players from the area for my 2022 All-Northern Kentucky Team. I will kick things off with the top offensive players from Northern Kentucky.
Chase Crone Chase Crone 6’2″ | 190 lbs | QB Simon Kenton | 2023 State KY is a quarterback that I have been high on for a while now that continued to impress this season. Crone had an outstanding senior year, completing 91/168 passes for 1,387 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He has a strong arm with the ability to lead his receivers down the field in the deep passing game and zip passes into tight windows in the short/intermediate passing game. Crone also shows the ability to escape the pocket and keep his eyes down the field to make throws on the run. While he’s a talented passer, Crone is also very dangerous as a ball carrier, finishing the season with 133 carries for 971 yards and 19 touchdowns. Chase is committed to Thomas More University where I can see him being a successful college quarterback.
Curtez Hill Curtez Hill 5’11” | 200 lbs | RB Holmes | 2023 State KY caught my attention this off-season and continued to jump out to me during his senior year. Hill had a very impressive final season, running the ball 158 times for 1,467 yards and 14 touchdowns. He has tremendous vision, finding the running lane and coming downhill in a hurry once it opens. Once he bursts through the lane, Hill has the breakaway speed to simply run away from the defense in the open field. He also has the ability to make cuts to make defenders miss. Hill also caught three passes for 56 yards and was electric on special team, returning two kickoffs and one punt for touchdowns. Curtez is committed to Eastern Kentucky where I could see him developing into a solid running back down the road.
Charlie Noon Charlie Noon 6’2″ | 180 lbs | ATH Highlands | 2023 State KY is a player that stood out this year as one of the most electric play makers in the state. He did most of his damage at receiver, catching 53 passes for 797 yards, and eight touchdowns. Noon has blazing speed which he used to create separation in the deep passing game. He is also very dangerous after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes and screens into big plays. Noon also carried the ball 44 times for 253 yards. He also showed that he is a very dangerous returner on special teams, returning one punt and one kickoff for a touchdown this year. Charlie is committed to Georgetown College where I see him turning into a key piece of their offense
Kaden Gardner Kaden Gardner 5’11” | 175 lbs | ATH Ryle | 2023 State KY is a player that made an impact on both sides of the ball this season but I liked what I saw from him on offense at receiver the most. Gardner finished his senior year with 46 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns. Kaden is a tremendous athlete with the ability to adjust to the ball and go up to make the catch at the highest point. He also has the speed to blow by defensive backs in the deep passing game. Gardner is also very impressive after the catch, using his speed and elusiveness to turn short passes into big gains. He also showed some value as a ball carrier, finishing the year with 17 carries for 166 yards and four touchdowns. Kaden currently holds offers from Indiana State, Valparaiso, Thomas More, Dayton, and Pikeville, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see more come his way as he has the talent to play multiple positions at the next level.
Chase Williams Chase Williams 5’11” | 155 lbs | WR Highlands | 2023 KY is a player that jumped onto my radar during his final season of high school football. The senior wide receiver finished strong, catching 55 passes for 772 yards and eight touchdowns. Williams lined up mainly in the slot and showed very good route running ability. He is a smooth route runner with the ability to create separation with the breaks in his routes. Williams also has the speed to blow by defensive backs in the deep passing game and run away from the defense after the catch. He also showed some ability as a ball carrier, running the ball 20 times for 101 yards and a touchdown this season. Williams is committed to Wisconsin-Platteville where I can see him developing into a reliable receiver at the next level.
Nolan Hunter Nolan Hunter 6’5″ | 205 lbs | TE Scott | 2023 State KY is a player that I’ve had on my radar for a while now that stood out to me this season. After making the switch from receiver to tight end, Hunter had a solid senior season, finishing with 24 receptions for 324 yards and five touchdowns. He still shows the ability to run routes like a receiver and is a dangerous vertical threat down the seam. Hunter also has the speed to pick up yards after the catch and is a very hard runner with the ball in his hands. I also like his ability as a blocker, doing a great job of driving his man out of the picture to create a lane of the ball carrier. Nolan currently holds offers from Thomas More, Union, Lindsey Wilson, Findlay, and Walsh, and I can see him developing into a very reliable tight end for any of those programs.

I decided to add an “Athlete” spot to this team as Mitchell Berger Mitchell Berger 5’11” | 190 lbs | ATH Beechwood | 2023 State KY did a little bit of everything for Beechwood this season. His season was unfortunately cut short after eight games but Berger had quite a season in the games that he played in. He did most of his damage on the ground, running the ball 121 times for 1,119 yards and 21 touchdowns. Berger is a hard-nosed, downhill runner with the ability to burst through the running lane and run through defenders without breaking stride. He has also shown that he has the speed to run away from the defense once he hits the open field. Berger also showed ability in the passing game, catching 19 passes for 251 yards and two touchdowns. He was also a very reliable kicker, making 19/19 of his PAT attempts and hitting his one field goal attempt this season. Mitchell is committed to play baseball at Eastern Kentucky but could easily play football at the next level if he were to have a sudden change of heart.
Aba Selm Aba Selm 6’4″ | 295 lbs | OL Simon Kenton | 2024 State KY is an offensive lineman that I’ve been high on for a while now that has really seen his stock go up on the recruiting trail this past season. Selm is a physical left tackle that explodes out of his stance and keeps his feet running through contact to drive his man down the field. He does a great job of finishing his blocks through the whistle, resulting in several pancake blocks. Selm has also shown the ability to pull from the tackle spot and pick up blocks in open space as a lead blocker. In the passing game, Selm has very good footwork and does a great job of mirroring pass rushers off the edge. Selm currently holds offers from Illinois, Marshall, Missouri, Indiana, Penn State, Miami (OH), Louisville, Cincinnati, Purdue, Campbell, Kentucky, and Eastern Kentucky, and I expect that list to grow going into his senior year as he is a true Power 5 caliber talent.
Another offensive lineman that I’ve had on my radar for a while now that continued to impress this season was Ryle’s Drew Dickerson Drew Dickerson 6’5″ | 310 lbs | OL Ryle | 2023 State KY . Dickerson had a solid senior year at the left tackle spot, showing that he is a reliable blocker in both the running and passing game. As a run blocker, Drew is very physical, driving his man off the line of scrimmage. He also does a great job of getting out into open space and destroying anything in his path. In pass protection, Dickerson does a good job of getting back in his pass sets to mirror opposing pass rushers. He also does a great job of defeating counter moves with his hands and protecting his inside gap. Dickerson is committed to Morehead State where I can see him developing into a key piece of their offensive line.
An underclassman offensive lineman that continued to impress me this season was Dylan Stewart Dylan Stewart 6’5″ | 290 lbs | OL Conner | 2025 State KY from Conner High School. Stewart lined up at right tackle this season and did a great job of creating movement off the line of scrimmage in the run game. He also showed the athletic ability to pull from the tackle spot and get up the field as a lead blocker. Stewart is a very physical blocker, having a strong initial punch which proves to be enough to knock opposing defenders off their feet when he catches them at full speed. Dylan currently holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky but I expect that list to grow over the next two seasons as he has a ton of potential to grow as a player.

Wrapping up my 2022 All-Northern Kentucky Offense is senior offensive lineman Treyvon Brown Treyvon Brown 6’1″ | 270 lbs | OL Scott | 2023 KY from Scott High School. Brown showed a ton of positional versatility in his high school career, seeing snaps all across the offensive line. He played mainly tackle and guard this season and was dominant in the run game. Brown did a great job of running his feet through contact and driving his man down the field. He is an aggressive finisher, picking up several pancake blocks this season. Brown also showed the ability to pull and get up the field to pick up blocks in open space as a lead blocker. Treyvon is committed to Lindsey Wilson where I can see him developing into a key piece of their offensive line.
