Below, we will dive into some of the top prospects in the 2026 class that had phenomenal Freshman seasons for their respective schools and who are poised for a huge off-season and second year campaigns.
Tony Cumberland
Tony Cumberland
Cumberland is a physical and imposing kid that looks the part and passes the eye test, especially for a Freshman. Already holding offers from ASU, Arizona, Oregon and Wisconsin, he is a national recruit and will be one of the top defensive lineman in the country by the time it’s all said and done. On film, he shows good initial explosion, a strong inside punch and the ability to rush the passer from different angles while using a variety of speed and power pass rush moves as well. In the run game, he can lock out quickly and get off blocks while able to redirect and close fast near the LOS and track down ball carriers backside. A high motor kid that moves very well for his size, he should draw other national offers soon.
Highlights
Miller is a massive kid that could develop into a big time tackle due to his length, frame and movement abilities. He holds an offer from Georgia Tech, and should draw West Coast attention soon. During his Freshman campaign, he showed good bend in his stance, a quick first step while moving defenders off the ball with a strong initial punch and the ability to sustain blocks through the first level and finish with good aggression. Taking good angles to second level defenders and light on feet, he also excels in pass protection staying patient and moving quickly laterally when counter punching and picking up pressure. Still developing technically, Miller has tons of untapped potential at the next level and will only continue to get better.
Vanden Bosch picked up his first offer from Nebraska earlier in the season and has showed flashes of what he has the potential to turn into as he progresses through his high school career. He is a poised signal caller with a strong arm downfield while able to get the ball out quickly and fit it into tight windows throwing his receivers open and putting nice touch on downfield throws. He should continue to develop into a big time quarterback and one of the states best as he goes through his prep career.
