<p>The definition of a true underdog story the Nampa Bulldogs shocked everyone in the 5A SIC by finishing 2nd in the River Division. After being picked near the bottom of the league to start out the season the Bulldogs showed that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks it only matters what you believe as a team. Nampa had a great year due mainly to the fact that these Bulldogs had a group of dedicated seniors that will leave a lasting legacy on the program. Using a devastating run game led by the Offensive player of the year in the River division the Bulldogs were able to wear opponents out on the ground. Using a myriad of different players to touch the football the Bulldogs used their spread formations in order to create running lanes. It helps to have a senior signal caller in the back to direct everything. On defense the hard nosed Bulldogs were straight up tough even if they didn't have the size on paper they made up for it with heart and tenacity. Using sure tackling and opportunistic turnovers the Bulldogs were able to shut down some of the states top offenses. If you were to define this team with one word it was scrappy from start to finish you would have to knock them out because they would not go away. There was no quit in a team that according to the experts was supposed to struggle in its first season in the 5A. Instead they were able to come together and shock most of the league but if you know anything about football you understand was a team can accomplish with a little belief. This team showed that as long as you believe in yourself you can accomplish anything. </p>
