This game was important and both teams had many chances to pull through and win. The Thunderbirds attacked first. Jdyn Bullion scores the first touchdown and immediately after Gretna would fumble the ball and Bellevue West would land onto it. Bullion would again get another rush and punch it in and the Thunderbirds would go up 14-0 early. The Dragons would strike back marching down field before running an end around to [player_tooltip player_id='330299' first='Tyson' last='Boganowski'] to strike back. At halftime the score is 14-7 with Belle West on top. The Dragons would drive down again and score with a [player_tooltip player_id='217055' first='Zane' last='Flores'] sneak up the middle tying the game at 14-14. The running game by Jdyn Bullion dominated the dragons and lead to an [player_tooltip player_id='250689' first='Isaiah' last='McMorris'] touchdown making it 21-14. Once the Dragons got the ball back they would march back down and Flores would run it in again tying it again! 21-21. Gretna's defense would get a huge stop with Alex Wilcoxson intercepting. The interception would lead to a Flores to [player_tooltip player_id='340488' first='Isaiah' last='Weber'] connection to give the Dragons their first lead of the night 21-28. The Thunderbirds had a huge run but then they would cough up the ball and [player_tooltip player_id='239821' first='Ethan' last='Stuhr'] would take it all the way to the 4 yard line. [player_tooltip player_id='340488' first='Isaiah' last='Weber'] would score again putting the Dragons up 35-21. The clock would tick down as the Dragons would get the ball back for the final drive and take a safety to run the clock out for a final score of 35-23.
