Final Four: Knox. West vs. Powell, Nolensville vs. Munford

State Title Game: Knox. West vs. Munford

Class 5A State Champs: Munford Cougars …#WestTN

Players to Watch

– (DE) Luke Scott Luke Scott Luke Scott 6'4" | 230 lbs | DL Daniel Boone | 2023 State TN – Daniel Boone: Scott has been wreaking havoc all year long and I don’t expect his motor to slow up anytime soon. He is a team leader and a productive player that will be ready for the coming playoff challenge.

– (RB) Brayden Latham – Knox. West: The Rebels have been almost flawless so far this season with their offense taking center stage and having Latham as one of its key cogs.

– (QB) Jordyn Potts Jordyn Potts Jordyn Potts 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Powell | 2023 State TN – Powell: Potts is one of the few QB’s in these playoffs that has won a state title, so this future Tennessee Tech signal caller knows how to win. Plus these Panthers are on a roll right now, so this is a team to watch.

– (RB) DeSean Bishop DeSean Bishop DeSean Bishop 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB Karns | 2023 State TN – Karns: One of the best offensive talents in this state, Bishop is a workhorse that can put his Beavers team on his back and ride him as far as he and the team can go.

– (RB) DeAirrus Morton DeAirrus Morton DeAirrus Morton 6'1" | 205 lbs | RB Mt. Juliet | 2023 State TN – Mt. Juliet: Ever since this senior back joined the offense right before the mid-way point of the season, the Golden Bears have become a different team because of Morton’s powerful running style and a legit 5A contender.

– (WR’s) Max Collins Max Collins Max Collins 6'2" | 190 lbs | WR Page | 2023 State TN / Boyce Smith Boyce Smith Boyce Smith 5'10" | 185 lbs | WR Page | 2023 State TN – Page: This is one of the best receiving duos in the Mid-Tennessee area and if they are allowed to roam free, the Patriots could play themselves into the 5A title game in Chattanooga.

– (RB) Malaki Dowell Malaki Dowell Malaki Dowell 5'10" | 185 lbs | RB White Co. | 2023 State TN – White Co.: The state’s rushing leader has boosted his recruiting stock big time this year but it could go to another level with a strong showing through the coming playoffs as his Warriors could face some strong competition.

– (WR) Chance Fitzgerald Chance Fitzgerald Chance Fitzgerald 6'3" | 185 lbs | WR Nolensville | 2023 State TN – Nolensville: The Knights senior wideout has been playing some strong football of late which has led to multiple Power Five offers and his postseason play will be key towards Nolensville’s advancement in the playoffs.

– (QB) Devon Crenshaw Devon Crenshaw Devon Crenshaw 6'3" | 225 lbs | QB Springfield | 2023 State TN – Springfield: If the Yellow Jackets senior leader is healthy, this Mid-Tennessee program could have a successful postseason run. Crenshaw is everything to Springfield and a guy that can lead them all the way to Chattanooga.

– (RB) Braxton Sharp Braxton Sharp 5'9" | 160 lbs | ATH Brighton | 2023 TN – Munford: Over the past month, Sharp has been on fire, putting up some big numbers and providing his offense a home run threat in their rushing attack. Look for this senior back to continue his explosive running style over the coming weeks.

– (LB) Colton Perry Colton Perry Colton Perry 6'2" | 285 lbs | DL Munford | 2023 State TN – Munford: The Cougars could go against some strong rushing teams and if they do, Perry will be a major factor on defense on stopping the run and causing the opposing offensive line’s fits.

Best 1st Rd Matchup: Germantown at Ravenwood

Sleeper Teams: Dobyns-Bennett, Blackman, Smyrna

Final Four: Farragut vs. Oakland, Cane Ridge vs. Germantown

State Title Game: Oakland vs. Germantown

CLass 6A State Champs: Oakland Patriots …#MidTN

Players to Watch

– (RB) Elijah Gibbs Elijah Gibbs Elijah Gibbs 5'9" | 175 lbs | RB Farragut | 2023 TN – Farragut: Over the second half of the season, Gibbs has been on fire, running for big gains and pushing his season total over 1,000 yards. If he keeps up his style of play, the Admirals will be a tough out.

– ‘24 (RB) Gage LaDue Gage LaDue Gage LaDue 6'1" | 215 lbs | RB Maryville | 2024 State TN – Maryville: People may not know too much about this guy now but you will soon enough. LaDue is the heir apparent at RB for the Rebels and will be leaned upon a lot in the playoffs, especially with Noah Vaughn Noah Vaughn Noah Vaughn 5'9" | 185 lbs | RB Maryville | 2023 State TN out of action.

– (RB) Konor Heaton Konor Heaton Konor Heaton 5'8" | 175 lbs | RB Coffee Co. | 2023 TN – Coffee Co.: Heaton has been a workhorse for the Raiders this season and I don’t expect it to be any different this week in the playoffs. This is a tough, hard nosed runner that could cause defense’s problems.

– (QB) Jack Risner Jack Risner Jack Risner 6'5" | 220 lbs | QB Blackman | 2023 State TN – Blackman: One of the leading passers in the state this season, Risner has the arm and arsenal around him to go on a deep postseason run with his Blaze offense and team.

– (DT) Brison Jackson Brison Jackson Brison Jackson 6'4" | 285 lbs | DL Lebanon | 2023 State TN – Lebanon: The Blue Devils will be going against some good teams if they want to go far in the playoffs and Jackson will be a major factor as he and the Lebanon D-line will be competing vs. some strong offensive lines.

– ‘25 (RB) Tamari Hill Tamari Hill Tamari Hill 5'10" | 180 lbs | RB/WR Oakland | 2025 State TN – Oakland: People better start getting to know this sophomore RB as he has officially taken over the lead role running the ball for the Pats and he has been on fire of late, so expect his hot streak to continue over the coming weeks.

– (RB) Darius Johnson Darius Johnson Darius Johnson 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Beech | 2023 State TN – Beech: This Bucs senior back has been on a tear of late, putting up big numbers and pushing his recruiting stock into another level. He has low tread on the tires too, so expect some big games from him going forward.

– (QB) Isaiah Tate Isaiah Tate Isaiah Tate 6'1" | 180 lbs | QB Germantown | 2023 State TN – Germantown: Tate has put together a strong senior campaign and he is the kind of veteran quarterback that can lead his team to multiple playoff victories. His poise and overall leadership will be key for the Red Devils.

– ‘24 (RB) Damon Sisa Damon Sisa Damon Sisa 5'8" | 165 lbs | RB Houston | 2024 State TN – Houston: The Mustangs are led by their offense with Sisa being the centerpiece of it all. He is a fast game breaker that can take over a game if the opposing defense shows weakness.

– (S) Tyler Johns – Collierville: The Dragons have been very good on defense this season with Johns as one of its key leaders. He is also one of the state’s leaders in interceptions, so opposing quarterbacks better watch out.

– (QB) Brendan Jones Brendan Jones Brendan Jones 6'1" | 170 lbs | QB Centennial | 2023 TN – Centennial: The Cougars have a tough 1st round draw but with Jones at the helm, they have a senior, veteran quarterback that can make all the right decisions, leading his team to victory and beyond.
