Roller is having a great senior campaign this year as the Cardinals are currently 7-1 and tied for first place in the district. Currently, Roller has 14 sacks to go along with 27 tackle for losses, 62 total tackles, and 8 rushing touchdowns. On film, he is dominant coming off the edge and is a violent pass rusher. Including his freshman season, Roller has a total of 57 sacks to date. He has been fun to keep up with this season and is someone to keep an eye out for as recruiting isn’t over yet. Roller has several offers from division 2 and I wouldn’t be shocked if he picked up more interest from FCS schools here soon. With his size, he could easily move to an inside linebacker and would be active inside out. Roller is a physical defensive player that will cause any offenses fits. The Cardinals head to Dewey for week 9 action and will wrap up their final game at home versus Inola in week 10. The Cardinals stand at 4-1 in district play.
Seth Kruse – Lincoln Christian – WR/FS 2023
Standing at 6’3″, Kruse has a demanding figure out at wide receiver or at free safety. On the offensive side of the ball, Kruse uses his body well to shield off defenders. He has long strides where he can get in and out of his breaks without any hesitation. Kruse will high point the ball and doesn’t let the ball get close to his body. He flashes good body control and adjusts to the ball well. On the defensive side, he runs the alley good and puts his eyes through the thighs on his tackles. Kruse is not afraid to put his nose in on the tackle and makes several plays at the free safety position. He doesn’t have a lot of film that I watched where he is in coverage as I would like to see that more for defense. The Bulldogs head to Muldrow week 9 and finish regular season versus Locust Grove for Senior night. Currently, the Bulldogs sit at top of their district at 4-0 and 7-1 overall.
Braxton Etheridge Braxton Etheridge 6'0" | 190 lbs | QB Claremore | 2024 State OK – Claremore – QB 2024
Etheridge looks to improve every week I’ve watched his game film. I was able to take a look at him earlier this spring at Claremore’s team camp and he just looks more comfortable and cleaner in the pocket. Etheridge looks good rolling out or booting in open space and gets the ball out on a rope. He looks to go through his progressions and makes quick reads. I also noticed he puts the ball in tight windows and has a nice touch pass on his deep ball. The Zebras play at home versus Rogers week 9 and look to close out district play at Collinsville. The Zebras are looking to finish the season strong and trying to seal the number 3 or 4 seed for the state playoffs.
Hayden Milner Hayden Milner 6'4" | 255 lbs | DL Washington | 2023 State OK – Washington – DE 2023
When you throw this player’s game film on the first thing you notice about him is how physical he likes to play. Milner is a top DE out of the state of Oklahoma for a reason. He plays with violent hands and has a good punch to gain separation. Once he gains separation, he is physical at crossing face to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. He has a good first move to get off the ball and has a high motor to go along with all of his other tools. Milner isn’t afraid to mix it up and I love how he competes every play. Washington travels to Comanche this week and wraps up district play against Little Axe. Washington is on top of the district currently at 4-0 and 8-0 overall.
Jake Tucker Jake Tucker 6'1" | 210 lbs | LB Tuttle | 2023 State OK – Tuttle – LB 2023
I like to watch good linebacker tape and when I watch Tucker, that’s what I get. Tucker stands in at 6’1″ and weighs 210 pounds. Tuttle plays a 3-4 defensive scheme and Tucker plays the inside or outside linebacker position. He comes off the ball in a hurry and sets a quick edge. At the point of contact, he is always moving his feet when he comes up for a tackle. I notice that Tucker attacks when he makes his first read without any hesitation. He does a good job at coming to balance when the ball carrier tries to change direction on him. Tuttle travels to Newcastle week 9 and rounds out district play with Classen SAS. Tuttle is currently tied for 2nd place with Bethany and Newcastle.
