Ohio Twitter Review – Top Recruits

They are detailed below.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Olentangy</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='284619' first='Gavin' last='Grover']</strong>, TE, 2024 - Gavin is a flat out stud on the both sides of the ball. He is rated at 3 stars and has visited some very good Power 5 schools. He is tall, fast, and physical. He is your prototypical big time TE in college. He lines up all over the field and is intelligent. His blocking is above average and he uses his big frame to drive defenders into the dirt. He is a matchup nightmare on the LOS and outside at Receiver. His height makes him great in the redzone. He attacks the ball in the air and has good hips to burst up the field. He runs good routes from multiple alignments and is a huge target to throw at. He has great mechanics and can sling the ball down the field. He puts good spin on the ball and is accurate with his throws. He moves well inside and outside the pocket. He reads the full field and delivers the open throw. He can throw receivers open. He runs really well and gets on the second level very quickly. He plays a Safety position and is tremendous in the run. He triggers fast with great leverage and makes great tackles in the backfield and on the LOS. He is patient in his read steps and transitions quickly into backpedal. Keeps routes in front of him well and plays the ball up and through the hands. He routinely kicks a touchback on Kickoff and gets great height on the ball off the tee. He is very adept at specialty kicks and can be a weapon in the field position game. On field goals the ball explodes off his foot. He missed one PAT this year and was very good on his FGs. He is athletic and can tackle if need be. He is a hybrid player capable of playing DB and LB. He is a ball hawk and affects the game in numerous ways with his takeaways. He is good at covering the deep ball and plays it well in the air. He can play LB and reads plays well and maintains his gaps. He is a great blitzer on the inside and outside and bends back well to the QB. At strong safety he takes on blocks with his hands and sheds easily.
