Tate Morris – McIntosh
A senior standout from Peachtree City, Morris is having a fantastic 2022 season, showing off one of the best arms in the Atlanta area. The 5A gunslinger is not only one of the passing leaders in Atlanta, but across the 5A classification this season. Thee 5-foot-11 185-pounder is 141/221 for 2,126 yards and 14 touchdowns so far this year, showing he can read defenses and win games with his arm. Morris has thrown for over 290 yards in five games so far this season with three games with at least 300 yards passing. He’s averaging an impressive 303 passing yards per game and knows how to reach the end-zone to cap off drives. He loves to stretch the field and has no problem trying to fit the ball into a tight window successfully. He’s a true under the radar QB to know in 5A as we head deeper into the season.
Bryce Clavon Bryce Clavon 5'11" | 185 lbs | QB Kell | 2024 State GA – Kell
It’s hard to find another quarterback in 5A that’s having the season that Clavon’s having. The baseball star and former Dutchtown quarterback is a true dual-threat weapon who can beat offenses with both his arm and his legs. He’s always looking to make a big play and can beat defenses with his strong arm, athleticism, and big-play ability. An accurate passer with an impressive 71% completion rate, Clavon is currently 93/130 for 1,422 yards and 14 touchdown passes to just four INTs. He’s smart with the football, understands the position, and has the arm strength to make big throws down the field. More importantly, he has Kell off to a big 6-0 start to the season. He’s one of the leading 5A passers right now, but he’s also rushed for 493 yards and 9 touchdowns on the ground. He’s fun to watch and he’s having a true breakout season for the Longhorns.
He was one of the more productive quarterbacks in the Atlanta area last year as a junior, and he’s off to a big start once again this fall as a senior. The 6-foot-2 180-pounder does a great job of staying firm in the pocket and delivering a nice ball down the field. He throws a catchable ball down the field and one that allows the receiver to pick up yards after the catch. He has size, mobility, and knows how to stretch the field. He’s thrown for over 300 yards in four games this season, proving he’s a guy who can tear defenses apart when given time to throw. He has one of the strongest arms not only in the area, but across the 5A classification. So far this season, Hart has thrown for 1,876 yards and 17 touchdowns to just six INTs. His best game of the season so far came against Jackson where he threw for 393 yards and four touchdowns in a big victory. Keep your eye on Hart for the rest of the season.
Harrison Hannah – Decatur
Another impressive, productive passer in the metro-Atlanta area, the Decatur native is one of the more underrated quarterbacks in the area and across the 5A classification. He’s a good athlete and he’s becoming a better and better passer as the season goes along. He’s having a strong senior season through the air and has become a reliable quarterback all season long. Thee 5-foot-11 190-pounder is 117/175 this year, giving him a 67% completion rate so far this year. He’s also thrown for an impressive 1,757 yards and 15 touchdowns on the year. His 250 passing yards per game stands out, as well as his ability to make the right decisions and take care of the ball. He’s having a great season in 5A and will likely only get better as the season moves along.
