Jordan Smith Jordan Smith 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB Houston County | 2026 State GA – DB- Houston County
One of the breakout 2026 defensive backs in Middle Georgia, Smith is a physically-impressive safety at 6-foot-2 185-pounds who has seen his recruitment take off over the last four months. Now, the Houston County (GA) defender has earned a new SEC offer from the Arkansas Razorbacks. The quick, instinctive safety can fly down-hill and make plays around the line of scrimmage while helping secure the field vertically against the pass. He’s a versatile defender who can help some at linebacker too due to his size and ability to strike the ball-carrier. He’s a true weapon as a defender who can also help on special teams. As a junior last year, Smith, who is ranked as the No.26 overall prospect in the state for the 2026 class, made 34 tackles and one INT last year for the Bears as a sophomore. He also holds offers from USC, Georgia Southern, Georgia Tech, South Florida, among others.
Brandon Anderson Brandon Anderson 6'4" | 320 lbs | OL Milton | 2026 State GA – OL – North Cobb
A big, physical right tackle who really came into his own last year as a sophomore, Anderson always had SEC potential from his days at Milton to his days at North Atlanta. Now, the North Cobb lineman has seen a major SEC offer come his way from the mighty LSU Tigers. Anderson brings plenty of size and physicality at 6-foot-4 320-pounds who mauled defenders over and over again in the run game. He’s a promising pass-protector who will develop and improve more and more this off-season. If he continues to work hard on his feet and mobility, Anderson has the potential to turn into one of the top pass-protecting offensive tackles across Georgia in the 2026 class. He shows good hand placement, good leverage, lower body strength, and the ability to drive defenders backwards until the whistle is blown. Look for Anderson to see his recruitment continue to pick up over the next several weeks.
Zelus Hicks Zelus Hicks 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Parkview | 2026 State GA – DB – Carrollton
The offers continue to roll in for the Carrollton (GA) safety who earned another big SEC offer this past week from the Texas Longhorns. A ball-hawk at safety who knows how to wrap up consistently, Hicks is a hard-hitting, sure-tackling defensive back who can help defend the run while covering lots of ground in the back end against the pass. At Parkview last fall, the 6-foot-3 175-pounder made 67 tackles, six TFLs, two sacks and one forced fumble. Hicks showed natural instincts and has started since his freshman season. At Carrollton, Hicks will continue his development under one of the best high school coaching staffs across the state. This rangy, athletic defensive back is currently ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 6 overall prospect in the state for the 2026 class. His best football is way ahead of him, and more major offers are likely coming his way. He’s one of the top overall prospects in West Georgia and has a chance to lead the Trojans to a possible state title in 2024.
