Getting into the dog days of the season. Records are starting to show what a teams season looks like. Those numbers can have some mixed messages, some teams could be snake-bitten with injuries, some may have need time to figure out a good rhythm and some may just have a tough schedule. With that being said a lot of these games will have a ton of playoff implications this week. A lot of this week's results could have a huge and direct implication on the final seedings. Here are my Games to Watch for Week 7!

O'Gorman @ Sioux Falls Jefferson- This may be a State Championship preview. The top two seeds in the state face off at Howard Wood. If there is one game all season to watch, I'd say this would be it. One thing this game will preview also is adjustments for every team on how to attack each team. Both teams have high fire-power offenses and well disciplined defenses, shaping up to be one of the best games on the season.

Players to Watch from O'Gorman: [player_tooltip player_id='56580' first='Bennett' last='Dannenbring'], Ryland Sattler, [player_tooltip player_id='273639' first='Gabe' last='Tschetter'], [player_tooltip player_id='273640' first='Aden' last='Scott'], & Jack Hove.

Players to Watch from Jefferson: [player_tooltip player_id='101181' first='Griffin' last='Wilde'], [player_tooltip player_id='273643' first='London' last='Kolb'], [player_tooltip player_id='89291' first='Beau' last='Giblin'], [player_tooltip player_id='56567' first='Nelson' last='Wright'], & [player_tooltip player_id='289599' first='Dashawn' last='Rohlik'].

Yankton @ Brookings- Another mid-pack showdown in Class 11AA. These two teams have plenty of talent each season and are well-coached across the board. At 3 and 4 in the rankings, these teams should not be ignored for a championship run. This game may determine the better playoff spot and the easier route in the playoffs. One team likes to get into a track meet and get up and down the field in a hurry. The other likes to methodically move down the field. Whoever controls time of possession will control the outcome of the game.

Players to Watch from Yankton: [player_tooltip player_id='56547' first='Tyler' last='Sohler'], [player_tooltip player_id='56566' first='Rugby' last='Ryken'], [player_tooltip player_id='161254' first='Cody' last='Oswald'], Gavin Swanson, & Dominic Antrobus.

Players to Watch from Brookings: [player_tooltip player_id='89287' first='Jaxton' last='Eck'], [player_tooltip player_id='223095' first='Tyson' last='Brandt'], [player_tooltip player_id='273694' first='Caleb' last='Loehr'], & [player_tooltip player_id='291112' first='Jackson' last='Hoffmann'].

Winner @ Bridgewater-Emery-Ethan- A rematch of the State championship game from last season, and the season before. Winner has edged BEE both times and this regular season matchup will more than likely solidify their spots in the final seedings. Two very different offenses on the spectrum, but like every year this game will come down to discipline and who can limit damage control.

Players to Watch from Winner: [player_tooltip player_id='77463' first='Riley' last='Orel'], [player_tooltip player_id='105505' first='Aiden' last='Barfuss'], [player_tooltip player_id='160907' first='Blake' last='Volmer'], & [player_tooltip player_id='160932' first='Ethan' last='Bartels'].

Players to Watch from BEE: [player_tooltip player_id='423327' first='Sam' last='Hofer'], Aguer Van Sickle, [player_tooltip player_id='423322' first='Jaden' last='Eddy'], & Sutton Arend.

Pierre TF Riggs @ Brandon Valley- This game is intriguing because the AA schools have given the AAA schools a lot of fits this year already and this game may be a brawl until the final whistle. This game will also be who's defense can make the least amount of mistakes. Both teams like to get up and down the field quickly, I can see the difference in the game being who can get the run game going and continue it throughout the game.

Players to Watch from Pierre: [player_tooltip player_id='56570' first='Lincoln' last='Kienholz'], [player_tooltip player_id='223096' first='Jack' last='Merkwan'], [player_tooltip player_id='276834' first='Jayden' last='Wiebe'], [player_tooltip player_id='101165' first='Jason' last='Maciejczak'], Christian & [player_tooltip player_id='231745' first='Christian' last='Busch'].

Players to Watch from Brandon Valley: [player_tooltip player_id='101217' first='Lucas' last='Slack'], [player_tooltip player_id='77493' first='Navarro' last='Schunke'], [player_tooltip player_id='56568' first='Nate' last='Andresen'], [player_tooltip player_id='101167' first='Andrew' last='Bunkers'], & [player_tooltip player_id='273689' first='Isaac' last='Johnson'].

Canistota @ Deubrook Area- Canistota has always has a versatile team, but Deubrook Area has put together a good season so far this year and this game will be a test for both teams. This game may be a which team can strike first and keep the momentum on their side. As well as who can make halftime adjustments and get the momentum in their favor. This could be a shootout or a defensive battle, either way, I like this 9-man matchup.

Players to Watch from Canistota: [player_tooltip player_id='315065' first='Trace' last='Ortman'], [player_tooltip player_id='89277' first='Brandon' last='Kjetland'], [player_tooltip player_id='160914' first='Noah' last='Kleinsasser'], & [player_tooltip player_id='205269' first='Tage' last='Ortman'].

Players to Watch from Deubrook Area: [player_tooltip player_id='161301' first='Treven' last='Grimsrud'], Colin Bauman, Lukas Ekern, & Gavin Landmark.
