I am listing the players who’s stat line stood out, who people recommended but most importantly, ONLY players who either I watched live or was able to watch highlights from their specific game. For the best chance to be featured, send me your weekly film on twitter. My handle is “@DevinRecord”, please don’t have any hard feelings if you weren’t included.
Gentz rushed for 135 yards during his week 2 game against Central Valley HS. His burst of speed through the offensive line is as best as any running back in the class. He uses his agility to bounce outside to gain the edge against the defense. When he gets to the next level, he’s very hard to take down. He enjoys the contact on the field, you can tell by just watching his film. He embraces contact well, bouncing off tacklers frequently.
I don’t think it would be a stretch for me to say Ryder has been the BEST running back in the entire state of Washington. During his week 2 game against Marysville-Pillchuck HS, Ryder had an absolutely absurd 306 yards rushing ewith 3 touchdowns on 20 rushes. He broke the Stanwood HS record for most rushing yards in a game and I wouldn’t be surprised if he does it again later this year. After he breaks through the first level, he’s almost impossible to catch from behind. He hit the correct holes every time he touched the ball, being able to get good yardage every time he touched the ball. The senior will continue being a running back to watch as the season progresses.
Mason Orgill
Mason Orgill
Mason does a fantastic job at contributing on both sides of the football. on offense, he contributes in so many ways. He catches the ball extremely well and can also run the ball effectively too. Week 2 he compiled 5 catches for 103 yards to go along with 9 carries on the ground for 34 yards and 3 rushing touchdowns. He lines up in the slot or can take the ball out out of the wildcat formation too. He makes plays whenever he has the ball in his hands, so he might show up on this list again.
Judah Calixte
Judah Calixte
Judah runs behind a very solid and strong Kelso offensive line, which helps him quite a bit. The senior is quick in the open field, making defenders miss often. His speed really stood out to me, he ‘s able to get the edge on most of the defensive backs trying to close in and take him down. He finished with 102 yards rushing and a touchdown to go with it. His eyes are always up the field and his agility helps him break tackles with the ball in his hands too. The senior will continue to have a solid season as the year goes on.
Brock Beaner
Brock Beaner
Anacortes HS is having a great start to their season and is starting to be on people’s radars. People will start to see Brock and his brother Brady have big games as the years go on. During their week 2 victory, Brock ran for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns on the night. Watching his film, you can tell he’s one of the quickest class of 2025 athletes in the entire class. He gets to the outside fast, being able to get the edge on many defenders. Brock gets the job done on defense too, often compiling over 10 tackles. Anyone on this explosive Anacortes could have a big day, week 2 was Brock’s night.
