Landyn dominated on Friday night. The senior QB threw for 428 yards on 24/31 passing, as well as throwing for five scores. He also totaled 36 yards on the ground in the 52-14 win over Brainerd. Andover will take on Elk River this Friday.
Despite the loss, Finn had an impressive showing versus Minnetonka on Thursday night. He racked up 349 yards on 29/46 passing, throwing for two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Edina and McElroy will match up with Rosemount on Friday night.
Highlights
Jamen and Armstrong had an impressive display versus Waconia on Thursday. They won the game 35-14 and the Wildcats had no answer for Jamen. He threw for 307 yards, completing 12 out of his 23 passes with four of those being touchdowns. The Falcons will match up with Irondale this Thursday.

Milos led the Skippers to a 34-21 win over Edina in one of the most anticipated games of the week. He finished with a very efficient outing, totaling 241 yards and three touchdowns on 15/20 passing. Minnetonka will take on Blaine in a Friday night matchup where they look to stay hot.

Harrison had a breakout performance in Week 1 of the regular season. He threw for 330 yards, including three touchdowns and zero interceptions. He will look to duplicate this performance in Century’s next matchup with Owatonna on Friday night.
Maxwell simply could not be stopped in Chanhassen’s Thursday night win over Hastings. He finished the game with a ridiculous 23.9 yards per carry and found the end zone three times. 8 carries and 191 yards is pure dominance. Woods and the Storm will take on rival Chaska on Friday.

Max was a bellcow in his past matchup. He carried the ball 34 times on his way to 177 yards and two scores. McEnelly has been one of the best running backs in the state for the last couple years and is committed to Minnesota to wrestle. Waconia will travel to Cooper to take on the Hawks this Friday.

One of the craziest stat lines of the week is from Milaca’s Jack Schoenborn Jack Schoenborn 5’9″ | 160 lbs | RB Milaca | 2023 MN . He accounted for 269 yards on the ground, carrying the ball 27 times and finding the endzone on three of them. Jack and Milaca defeated Litchfield this past week and will now match up with Albany this Friday.
Sawyer could not be contained in his first game of the season. The senior running back racked up 238 rushing yards, scoring touchdowns twice in the blowout win over Eastview. He will be a key piece for a contending Lakeville North squad all season. They will match up with the Cougars of Lakeville South in one of the top games of Week 2 this Friday.

Caden was above and beyond efficient in Zimmerman’s first game of the season. He finished the win over Annandale with 260 yards from scrimmage on 12 total touches, scoring three touchdowns. Spence will look to continue his dominance in a Week 2 matchup with Princeton on Friday.

Sam went off versus Brainerd this past Friday. He totaled a crazy 214 yards through the air, scoring three touchdowns on only 10 catches. His game breaking speed is special and I fully expect him to be turning in amazing statlines for the rest of the season. The Huskies have a matchup with Elk River this Friday.

Marquan recorded nearly 33 yards per catch on seven catches this past week. He finished the win over Waconia with 230 yards receiving and he found the endzone on a 98 yard bomb in the second quarter. Tucker has started his season off with a bang and will try to replicate that performance in a Week 2 duel with Irondale.
Chuck was doing damage through the air and on the ground in the tight victory over Hill-Murray this past week. He finished the game with 94 receiving yards, two receiving touchdowns, and adding 48 rushing yards on four carries. Holy Angels will have a tough matchup with Orono on Friday.

Sam had a breakout performance in the blowout win over Eastview. He ended the victory with four catches, racking up 137 yards and two touchdowns. Lakeville North will face off with their crosstown rival Lakeville South on Friday in a highly anticipated matchup.
Khijohnn has had an amazing start to his junior season so far! The standout wideout caught the ball five times for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns this past week. I will not be surprised if he finishes as one of the best statistical receivers in the state by the end of this season with Coon Rapids.
