The Stars play host to the Black Raiders this Friday night at 7:00 PM. The Stars debuted an electric
running game last Thursday night which saw them roll up (385) yards rushing in a one-sided victory over
South Sioux City 44-0. The Black Raiders have two impressive wins and have allowed only (28) yards
rushing on the young season after two games. Black Raider senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='300098' first='Cole' last='Ritchie'] has moved the
offense very well through the first two games and has zero interceptions.

SC EAST SCOUTING REPORT: The Black Raiders are out of the gate with a 2-0 start and have been
impressive in doing so. Defensively, the Black Raiders defensive front 7 is as good as there is in the area
and they have been extremely difficult to run the ball against. Senior DT [player_tooltip player_id='247875' first='Cale' last='Pittenger'] 6-1 (255) has
(12.5) tackles on the season and (5) TFL. Senior DE [player_tooltip player_id='105144' first='Nick' last='Wells'] 6-3 (245) a South Dakota State recruit has
been solid with (9.5) tackles. Other key contributors are senior LB [player_tooltip player_id='24025' first='Brady' last='Wavrunek'] (15) tackles and
senior [player_tooltip player_id='203402' first='Brecken' last='Schossow'] who has been very valuable at LB. The defensive secondary has performed
well with senior [player_tooltip player_id='247910' first='Dalyn' last='Tope'] (2) INT including one returned for a touchdown last week versus Bishop
Heelan and senior corner [player_tooltip player_id='434095' first='Carter' last='Reekers'] has been competitive on the back end of the defense for the
Black Raiders.

The Black Raider offense has put up (84) points in their first two contests and senior QB [player_tooltip player_id='300098' first='Cole' last='Ritchie'] is
operating well behind young developing offensive line and has completed passes to (9) different
receivers. Ritchie has completed (48) passes for (527) yards and (3) touchdowns. Senior WR Kelynn
Jacobsen 6-2 (195) is off to a great start with (17) receptions for (214) yards and a score. Senior WR
Preston Dobbs 6-4 (190) has become a dependable weapon with (8) receptions for (42) yards and a
touchdown. The Black Raider running game has been led by Wavrunek who has (14) carries for (192)
yards and (3) scores. Schossow is another RB that has (13) totes for (123) yards and has reached the
end-zone (4) times. The offense of offensive coordinator Bob Goodvin has a good mix right
now with the run/pass game and has been able to keep opponents guessing.

SC NORTH SCOUTING REPORT: The Stars controlled the line of scrimmage from the outset last week and
SSC transfer RB [player_tooltip player_id='320855' first='Demarico' last='Young'] 5-6 (155) exploded for (196) yards on (14) carries and scored two
touchdowns in the 44-0 shutout of the SSC Cardinals last Thursday night. Junior RB/WR [player_tooltip player_id='156577' first='Dayton' last='Harrell']
rushed for (90) yards on just (4) carries and caught (3) passes for (48) yards and (2) scores from senior
QB [player_tooltip player_id='246725' first='Carson' last='Strohbeen']. The Stars offensive line with four new starters did a good job blocking up front
and creating holes for the backs to run through. This week's test will be very difficult against a veteran
Black Raider defensive front that makes a lot of plays in the opposing team's offensive backfield. Senior
QB [player_tooltip player_id='246725' first='Carson' last='Strohbeen'] will have to have an impact in the passing game so that the Black Raiders are not
able to take away the running game entirely. It is important that Strohbeen utilizes the RB's out of the
backfield to throw to and take a couple shots downfield with a few different TE's as they have a deep
stable available.
PREDICTION
BLACK RAIDERS 28
STARS 14

CRUSADERS PLAY HOST TO BULLDOGS!
LEMARS (1-0) @ BISHOP HEELAN
KICKOFF: 7:00 PM MEMORIAL FIELD
RADIO: 1360 KSCJ
The Bulldogs come into town off a slight upset of Sergeant Bluff-Luton 17-14 last Friday. The Crusaders
dropped their season opener versus SC East 34-3 last week. Teams typically see the most growth
between weeks one and two. The Bulldogs rallied late in the fourth quarter to complete an emotional
comeback as they trailed with under 5:00 left in the contest.

LEMARS SCOUTING REPORT: The Bulldogs were led by junior QB Teagan Kasel last week as he
completed 8/16 passes for (88) yards including a nice strike in the corner of the end-zone to junior WR
Nolan Kass who had (3) receptions for (52) yards and a touchdown in the victory. The Bulldogs senior RB
Eijah Dougherty rushed (13) times for (39) yards. The Bulldog defense did allow (180) rushing yards by
the Warriors last week. Carson Ott a senior DE led the Bulldog's in tackles with (10) closely followed by
junior LB Beau Wadle and his (8.5) tackles.

BISHOP HEELAN SCOUTING REPORT: It was tough sledding last Friday for the Crusaders rushing the ball
as they struggled to sustain drives and find consistency in the run game finishing with (22) yards rushing.
There is good talent in the backfield for the Crusaders and I feel those kids will surface this Friday night.
Junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='156649' first='Sir' last='Brandon Watts'] and classmate [player_tooltip player_id='105507' first='Isaiah' last='Favors'] will find their groove this Friday night with
better blocking up front and things will open between the tackles.
Crusader junior QB Quinn Olson had a good start to the season against a very good Black Raider defense
going 18/25 through the air for (162) yards. One of my favorite TE prospects in NW Iowa is junior

Junior WR George Tsibanos had a nice game as well with (3) catches for (57) yards.
The Crusader defense saw a great effort out of junior LB [player_tooltip player_id='378942' first='Max' last='Delaney'] (5.5) tackles and senior LB Ethan
Lamson with (4) stops last week versus SC East.
PREDICTION
CRUSADERS 24
BULLDOGS 13

The
Falcons added (90) yards on the ground in the season opener averaging (6.0) yards per carry. Look for
senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='246737' first='Carter' last='Bultman'] to be more involved in the offensive attack this week. The defense performed
well with several players getting their first varsity start. Senior LB Mason Coppock led the team in tackles
in game one with (8.0) and LB [player_tooltip player_id='105182' first='Brady' last='Lynott'] (5.0) tackles had an impact as well.
