For the second straight camp I came away impressed with the Iowa TE product. Kannon checked in at 6’2″ 205 lbs, and tested well across the board. The number I want to focus on most is his pro agility time of 4.34. That was a number that holds up well against a lot of the RBs that attended the camp. It greatly represents what Bork has shown me on the field. He is an athlete that has already developed the flexibility, balance, and body control to be able to move, bend, and explode out of changes of direction with a natural ease. It has led to him being a fluid route runner as well. Kannon fits as an H-back type player who can be a difficult matchup for LBs.

Kannon came away as my favorite tight end from the Winona State prospect camp last Saturday as he would be my choice for TE MVP if I handed out one in Winona. This may sound slightly repetitive if you follow us on Twitter, but even as a slightly undersized tight end at 6’2 just over 200+ pounds, Kannon certainly plays way bigger than his measureables will show off on the field has this kid looks to be a workhorse in the weight room and plays the tight end position with great athleticism yet you feel like he plays 15-20 pounds bigger and you can certainly can add that to him with the frame he showed off on Saturday in Winona. I also love watching Kannon on Saturday with the physical nature he plays with on his routes, as he shows off a hybrid between WR and TE that has a catchy first step off the snap and will fight for every ball thrown his way which I saw on tape and it matched what I saw on Saturday. As a tight end prospect, anytime you can fluidly run a 4.3 short shuttle on three straight days of  college camps with lots of travel in between, you should certainly be a prospect to watch for any level college program out there, because Kannon showed off excellent stamina that is built to last on any level of football on Saturdays.

The most impressive TE of the day was Kannon Bork. Not surprising after seeing that he is one of the best TEs in the Class of 2024 coming out of IA. The 6’2″ 200 lbs TE first impressed with his body control and route running in the TE drills. He was able to change direction, cut, and accelerate out of cuts very smooth and naturally. It showed up again as he started running routes. Kannon has been a mismatch for LBs through the early part of camp season and it continued in Winona. He was able to run away from LBs in the open field, and his route running may have caught defenders off guard with how easy he made his breaks. Bork also showed that he can make the catch through contact. A name to know out of IA. Check out his highlights below.

Bork is a football player. I know that is an obvious statement; however, some players are the type of player’s that you could probably play at multiple positions and get high productivity out of them, that is Bork. He has a solid 200 Lb frame that can block, fight through blocks but he also has an excellent burst off the line that keeps opponents on their heels. Bork played Wide Receiver and Defensive End last season which speaks to his range of physicality and athleticism. He is not afraid to push himself, even when he has success. After a two great broad jumps of 9’6″ and 9’4″, I congratulated Bork, and he was not impressed. He said “Ah, it was ok”. I told him they were both great achievements and he said, “I was going for 10 feet!”. The young man does not lack confidence. Combine that with the need to challenge himself, his frame and skillset, you have a flat-out football player.
