Bishop Heelan reached the Class 3A state championship game in the fall largely on the backs of a veteran roster. In a program that annually develops student-athletes for the next level, underclassmen are working behind the scenes to be the next collection of success stories. Rees has the look of one of those guys. You can watch his highlights from competing at the junior varsity and freshman teams HERE. An impactful two-way performer, he reports catching eight passes for 181 yards and four touchdowns, and collecting 41.0 tackles, nine tackles for loss and two sacks in seven games. Rees flashes potential as a big-play pass catcher and a well-rounded linebacker. He has a good feel for game flow and is technically advanced for his age.
