It was definitely a good weekend for the likes of <em>Elk River, Prior Lake, Forest Lake, Minneapolis North, St. Paul Harding,</em> <em>Becker, Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton, Chanhassen, </em>and <em>Alexandria</em>, who, along with more teams from all over the state, earned big wins under Friday Night Lights and roll into this week with some momentum and good things building. To cure some of the Monday blues and give our lovely Minnesota subscribers some good reading during MNF, <em>PrepRedzoneMN </em>is back again with our Top-25 performances of Week 2/3. Stat monsters from all over the gridiron galore! Against <em>East Ridge</em>, went 26-38 (68.4%) for 346 yards and 4 TDs through the air. In a tough, one-score loss to Becker, <strong>Bruett </strong>17-22 for 291 yards and 4 TDs. He holds an 81% completion percentage through three games!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#3: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='105374' first='Maxwell' last='Woods']</strong> (<em>Chanhassen</em>) RB. 2024. In the massive rivalry that is <em>Chaska-Chan</em> the junior totaled 23 carries for 169 yards, a catch for 15 yards, 110 return yards, a PBU, and a forced fumble! <em>Chan </em>got the W.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#4: <strong>Hank Tellers</strong> (<em>Sebeka</em>) QB. 2023. The small-school 2022 stat monster rushed 21 times for 240 yards and 5 TDs and completed one pass for 33 yards. Also added 13 tackles and one TFL on defense!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#5: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='19002' first='Max' last='McEnelly']</strong> (<em>Waconia</em>) RB. 2023. The Gopher wrestling commit was a big help in <em>Waconia</em>'<em>s </em>dismantling of <em>Robbinsdale Cooper</em> and put up a workhorse stat line of 38 rushes for 260 yards and 4 TDs and added 9 tackles on defense.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#6: <strong>Will Smith </strong>(<em>Minneapolis North</em>) RB/DE. 2023. - Rushed 21 times for 247 yards and 4 TDs in a big win against 4A <em>Fridley.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#7: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='313203' first='Grant' last='Loge']</strong> (<em>Pequot Lakes</em>) QB. 2023. - Went 24-39 through the air for 359 yards and 5 TDs against <em>DGF.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#8: <strong>Corey Bohmert </strong>(<em>Mahtomedi</em>) RB/DB. 2023. One of the breakouts of this 2022 thus far, <strong>KCC </strong>caught 11 passes for 286 yards and 2 TDs in a win against <em>Buffalo</em>.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#11: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='295963' first='Stefano' last='Giovannelli']</strong> <em>(St. Louis Park</em>) WR/DB. 2023. The Preseason All-State pick helped his <em>SLP </em>squad beat<em> Bloomington Jefferson</em> by catching 2 passes for 14 yards, 3 tackles, and 3 interceptions - two of which he took the house.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#12: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='244997' first='Tate' last='Link']</strong> (<em>Dassel-Cokato</em>) RB/LB. 2023. - In a 35-6 win over<em> Little Falls</em> the stud wrestler rushed 26 times for 268 yards and 4 TDs and added a FF defensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#13: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='112082' first='Owen' last='Louwagie']</strong> (<em>Lakeview</em>) QB. 2023. Threw at an 85% completion percentage for 222 passing yards and 5 total TDs against <em>RTR.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#14: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1191536' first='Josh' last='Diggs']</strong> (<em>Park Center</em>) RB. 2025. In a 40-23 win over <em>Delasalle </em>the sophomore rushed 27 times for 212 yards and 3 TDs + a 2pt conversion. The Pirates play <em>Mound-Westonka</em> next week.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#15: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='112043' first='Carson' last='Hansen']</strong> (<em>Lakeville South)</em> RB. 2023. The Iowa State commit put a beatdown on crosstown rival <em>Lakeville North</em> and rushed 21 times for 254 and 2 TDs, including a 90+yarder. <em>South </em>got the win and heads to <em>Eden Prairie</em> in a big 6A matchup this weekend.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#16: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='246028' first='Bart' last='McAninch']</strong> (<em>Mankato West</em>) QB. 2024. In a beatdown of <em>New Prague</em> the junior signal-caller went 13-18 for 228 yards and 4 TDs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#17: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='112061' first='Cooper' last='Drews']</strong> (<em>Princeton</em>) QB. 2023. Aided in his aforementioned QB's big night and tallied 8 catches for 153 yards and 2 TDs in a win against <em>East Ridge.</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#20: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='245652' first='Peyton' last='Himley']</strong> (<em>Edina</em>) DB/WR. 2023. Had a strong defensive showing against <em>Rosemount </em>and posted 10 tackles, 2 PBUs, a TFL, a FF, and an interception. The Hornets lost by seven.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#21: <strong>Eli Paulson</strong> (<em>Anoka</em>) WR. 2023. The state's leader in receptions, <em>Anoka's </em><strong>Paulson </strong>caught 11 passes for 160 yards and 2 TDs. <em>Anoka </em>suffered a tough loss to <em>Forest Lake</em> but is looking to bounce back against Burnsville!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#22: <strong>Jackson Hettwer</strong> (<em>Coon Rapids</em>) QB. 2024. In a win against <em>Buffalo </em>that ended 28-14. the junior gunslinger went 16-26 for 337 yards and 3 TDs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#23: <strong>AJ Ladwig </strong>(<em>Hutchinson</em>) RB. 2023. In a throttling of <em>Willmar</em>, <strong>Ladwig </strong>rushed 11 times for 169 yards and 3 TDs in an efficient night. Also added 8 tackles! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#24: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='112066' first='Kelly' last='Johnson']</strong> (<em>Alexandria</em>) WR. 2023. In a numbing 41-38 nail-biter over <em>Bemidji</em>, <strong>Johnson </strong>stood in well for the graduated Kristen Hoskins and caught 12 passes for 140 yards and 2 TDs. Also added two, 2pt conversions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>#25: <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='201177' first='Asher' last='Zubich']</strong> (<em>Mountain Iron-Buhl</em>) QB. 2023. In a 44-0 win against <em>Ogilvie</em>, the stat-monster went 8-11 through the air for 78 yards and added 16 rushes for 214 yards and 3 TDs with his legs.
