Our rankings for the Class of 2024 were released earlier this week and, something that shouldn't come as a surprise to many, Willis QB [player_tooltip player_id='371923' first='DJ' last='Lagway'] leads the way.

In this article, we'll take a dive into each of these future college stars, including their current offers and what schools might be starting to break away from the rest.

QB [player_tooltip player_id='371923' first='DJ' last='Lagway'] – 6'3″ 215 / Willis HS — @DerekLagway

Sophomore Stats: 1,799 pass yards and 17 touchdowns; 715 rush yards and 6 touchdowns

One of the best quarterbacks in the nation, Lagway makes it look easy. He aims to play both football and baseball in college, and he will certainly have that opportunity wherever he chooses to play. The junior is the total package, with a laser arm, an unmatched poise, and an uncanny ability to churn out big yards on the ground when things break down.

He recently wrapped up a visit to his childhood 'dream school' Florida.

Currently has 26 P5 offers, including the Gators, Georgia, Oregon, Clemson, and Alabama.

EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='270019' first='Colin' last='Simmons'] – 6'3″ 225 / Duncanville HS — @ColinSimmons__

Sophomore Stats: 12 sacks and 3 forced fumbles

Our top-rated defensive player in 2024, Simmons has a first step that would make any offensive tackle in the country uncomfortable. He can win with speed on the outside and power inside, but most impressive is his ability to create takeaways. He recently wrapped up visits to Oregon and LSU, with many more planned.

Currently has 30 P5 offers, including the Ducks, Tigers, Michigan, Alabama, and USC.

DT [player_tooltip player_id='146596' first='Alex' last='January'] – 6'4″ 295 / Duncanville HS — @January_4k

Our second-rated defensive player lines up next to [player_tooltip player_id='270019' first='Colin' last='Simmons'] along Duncanville's defensive line. January is an interior force that stays low and lives in the backfield. Is able to go from speed to power in an instant, and can either blow by guards with pure explosiveness, or win with his bull rush.

Currently has nine P5 offers, including Georgia, LSU, and Michigan State.

EDGE [player_tooltip player_id='147421' first='Zion' last='Taylor'] – 6'2″ 235 / Shadow Creek HS — @ZionTaylor2024

Our #4-ranked player, Taylor blows by offensive tackles with a silky swim move and relentlessly attacks quarterbacks with his elite first step and unmatched explosiveness off the edge.

He recently wrapped up visits to Oklahoma and Houston.

Currently has 12 P5 offers, including Kentucky, Texas Tech, Ole MIss, and Arizona State.

RB [player_tooltip player_id='390517' first='J'Koby' last='Williams'] – 5'9″ 180 / Beckville HS — @WilliamsJkoby

Sophomore Stats: 2,133 all-purpose yards and 29 touchdowns

Williams may come as a shock at #5, but we actually feel he's being undervalued by the rest of the nation. If the Bearcats are going to make a run at the state title game this season, #2 will be leading the way. He's lightning quick out of the gate, pulls away from defenders in the open field, and is just as dangerous in the throw game as he is a runner. As LV would say, he'll fill up the Gatorade cooler, walk the dog, and paint 'cha back porch.

The young phenom currently sports offers from Baylor, TCU, Texas, Houston, and SMU. If he picks up where he left off last season, expect his first out-of-state Power 5 offer this fall.
