Here are the prospects that did that in week 1.
Christian Isibor – RB – 2023 – Cambridge
Last season was a productive one for Isibor, but after a huge week 1 against a stout Creekview defense, he has the chance to have an even more productive senior season. On Friday, he helped lead Cambridge to a statement 28-0 win over Creekview with 139 yards and 3 TDs on 18 carries. At this rate, he is due for a huge season that could yield way to some offers. Isidor is a smaller back, but he is extremely elusive and has the ability to run between the tackles.
KJ Smith – QB – 2024 – Roswell
Smith had his hands full against a strong Denmark team in his second career start, but he played well and led the Hornets to a commanding 35-10 victory. Roswell had a strong running game all night, but Smith did more than enough with his opportunities. On the night, Smith completed 9 of 16 passes for 154 yards and 2 TDs. He also did some damage on the ground with 34 rushing yards on 5 attempts. He connected with 2024 WR Dylan Williams numerous times for some big plays, including a TD. Smith is a true dual-threat QB with a strong arm and should continue to break out this season.
Gavin Hall Gavin Hall 5'10" | 190 lbs | QB Gainesville | 2024 State GA – QB – 2024 – Hebron Christian
Hall is a prospect that has been on Prep Redzone’s radar for a while and could start climbing up some boards over the course of this season. On Friday, he put up an unreal 310 rushing yards and 4 rushing TDs. He also finished with 94 passing yards and a passing TD. Hall is a run-first QB, but he is no slouch when it comes to throwing the ball as he does have a strong arm. With his unreal explosiveness and playmaking ability, I think Hall is a guy that could play multiple positions at the next level and do it at a very high level.
Zelus Hicks Zelus Hicks 6'3" | 175 lbs | DB Parkview | 2026 State GA – DB – 2026 – Parkview
I got eyes on Hicks a few months ago and came away very impressed. Since then, he has started to crawl onto the scene and is coming off a productive performance in week 1 against Johns Creek. At 6’3 175, Hicks already has a great frame and he has room to build upon that as well. He played week 1 at safety and was very active, coming up with a few tackles, a PBU, and jumped a route for an INT. With his frame, he could end up at CB too, but he has a home in the defensive backfield and should continue to develop into a household name.
Trey Lennon – QB – 2023 – North Atlanta
Lennon showed plenty of poise in a tightly contested game against North Forsyth. Not only did he pass for 200 yards and 3 TDs, but he also added 102 rushing yards and 2 TDs on the ground. He played well when it mattered the most, as he tossed the go-ahead TD with a minute left in the game. Lennon is a smooth lefty that plays with great control. He can make plenty of explosive plays, but his ability to remain poised under pressure is what sets him apart.
