However, there are over a dozen prospects in this class that already have verbal scholarship offers. Furthermore, there are hundreds of athletes in this class that nobody has even heard of yet, that WILL be scholarship players down the line. Here’s a look at some to take note of, very early.
A big 2028 prospect, just beginning seventh-grade this school year, he’s already a legitimate 5-foot-11 and 175-pounds. Taking one look at Johnson, you can see there’s a ton of muscle mass on Johnson’s frame. Currently bouncing between Inside Linebacker and Defensive End, it doesn’t matter where he’s lined up, he has a nose for the ball. Without knowing for sure, but looking at his current size and build, I think there’s reason to believe he will settle in at home at that Defensive Line spot.

Watching Lee play, he looks like a man amongst boys on the field at this point. At 6-foot-1 and 145-pounds he has exceptional size for a class of 2028 signal caller. The type of Quarterback with maturity and ability on the same level. Played 7-on-7 football for Midwest Boom this past year, one of the top programs in the nation. He has a ton of ability in terms of accuracy and arm strength at his point. Attended the Prep Redzone Next Midwest showcase this past spring and was a top performer, despite being one of the youngest in attendence.

Hailing from a military family, Abraham is the type of Field General, you love to see. He’s a leader and takes command of the huddle, and field, the second he enter it. A little bit on the shorter side right now, he does an exceptional job of moving in the pocket and finding throwing windows to get the ball out. I also really like his toughness and willingness to step up and take hits if it makes moving the ball down field.
This past summer I spent the better part of a week with the North Carolina Future Stars program, in Atlanta, Ga. Watson was not able to make any of the practices leading up to the first game day, due to previously scheduled events. However, when he arrived on game day, it was obvious this kid brought a different type of ability. He ran like a man possessed out of the backfield, picking up a ton of tough yards. When North Carolina needed it most, they put the ball in Watson’s hands and it paid off. He’s going to be a good one.

The son of former Louisville Cardinal and Dallas Cowboy Kicker Jon Hilbert, youngest son Peyton is a Special Teams ace at this point. There clips of him kicking a 45-yard field goal (with a college ball) earlier this summer floating around on social media, as he gets ready to enter only his seventh-grade season. In addition to the guidance he gets from his dad, his older brother Carson Hilbert, is the starting Kicker at Trinity, the No.1 High School in Kentucky. He’s already 5-foot-11 and 170-pounds, providing a lot of strength behind his foot.
Coming off an injury that ended his sixth-grade season earlier than he would have liked, Hammett Jr. is hands-down one of the most impressive class of 2028 Wide Receivers in the country. Already north of 6-foot and 150-plus pounds, he’s in a class of his own when it comes to Georgia prospects. When I say he’s dominant, I’d be willing to bet there’s only a handful of Defensive Back’s in the state that have a shot of locking him down. He’s a different type of player.
As destructive a Defensive Lineman in South Carolina as they come in the class of 2028. Right now is in the 5-foot-8, 220-pound range and can play either Defensive Tackle or Defensive End. Moved with the quickness of a Running Back in short-range situations but arrives with power. In his film, is also more of an athlete than one would think. On one play in particular, he braces himself off a cut block, engulfs a Running Back and then strips the ball in one motion, before breaking away for a Touchdown. Impressive.
