Below are some of Washington State’s Top Wide Receivers. These are athletes who their quarterback consistently depends upon in any situation to go up and get the football. One can expect these individuals to finish out their high school careers with a bang.
[player_tooltip player_id="158405" first="Tony" last="Harste"], Emerald Ridge High School, 5-10 160 Rank #1
Tony is a notable 3-Star athlete who has already been demanding attention from FBS schools such as the Idaho Vandals. When watching Tony play one can constantly see him putting in 100 percent effort with every rep. His release, stem, and stick are all acceptable as he regularly creates separation with his feet. As a sophomore Tony put up over 700 yards receiving with 9 touchdowns which is quite impressive. Tony certainly possesses the skill to be more than a 3-star recuirt. The more he solidifies his blocking, and expands his knowledge of the route tree the more he will be valued as a WR.

[player_tooltip player_id="115340" first="Jabez" last="Woods"], Graham-Kapowsin High School, 5-11 195 Rank # 2
Jabez is a member of quite the notable program at Graham-Kapowsin. Every year the Eagles are playoff contenders and the team to beat. Jabez has proved himself to be a valuable contributor to their success. He displays good route running and exceptional yards-after-catch ability with every play. What is more impressive is Wood’s tenacity when making contested catches. He is certainly a trustworthy weapon for his QB on every down. These next few seasons Jabez will continue to make his skill set known and attract the attention of many D1 or D2 programs.

[player_tooltip player_id="158340" first="Noah" last="McNair"], Sunnyside High School, 6-0 180 Rank #3
Noah is a phenome at the Wide Reciever position. This is evidenced in the 930+ yards that he collected in 2021. To see an athlete be this productive as an underclassman is quite impressive. A skill that has led to him gaining as many yards as he did is his elusiveness as a ball carrier. Noah regularly breaks tackles, finds the open grass, and then uses his breakaway speed to find the endzone. Noah’s catching ability is unquestionable as he constantly makes difficult catches. It would be good however to see Noah improve his release and stem, skills that are necessary to be successful at the next level. As he does this over the next few seasons Noah will certainly be a recuirt worthy of attention.

[player_tooltip player_id="158342" first="Gio" last="Kafentzis"], Emerald Ridge High School, 5-8 160 Rank # 4
Gio plays as a multipurpose WR who can burn defenses in multiple ways. He is effective both as a receiver and a ball carrier. His size and frame remind me of a Wes Welker/ Tyler Lockett type wide receiver. He has the speed and hands necessary to be a deep threat which in turn helps his teammates get open. It would be great to see Gio run the complete route tree and improve his release and stemming game. Doing so is certain to prepare Gio for competition at the next level.
