[player_tooltip player_id="206358" first="Mikale" last="Whitfield"]'s tape is incredibly limited, which is understandable when you're at Imhotep Charter. You are going to have to wait your turn at a program like this. That's something Whitfield might have to continue doing this Fall, nonetheless, the 6'2, 245 athlete will still be checked on by Prep Redzone, and collegiate programs as well. The track record for the coaching staff at Imhotep is long, there's no doubt in my mind that at some point, Whitfield could see his role expand at 'Tep. The training clips and camp visits show a young man who is engaged in football. I hope to see that continue for years to come.
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="264255" first="Naim" last="Dantzler"] | 6'0, 170 | DB | Imhotep Charter</strong></span></em></span>
Just another defensive back with special potential out of Imhotep. I am not sure which stable is more loaded, the DL, RB, or DB rooms at this program. [player_tooltip player_id="264255" first="Naim" last="Dantzler"] might be one of the new names to tag alongside Philly-great Kenny Woseley in this secondary. Dantzler doesn't have substantial tape yet but looks the part, standing at six feet tall entering his sophomore season. If you're a betting man, I would bet this kid will flourish at this program more times than not. Size and attitude work well in this secondary, just take a quick look at its past.

<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='915436' first='Mahir' last='Jordan'] | 5'10, 150 | QB/ATH | Northeast</strong></span></em></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1091189' first='Lazaryus' last='Toombs'] | 6'3, 225 | DL | Northeast</strong></span></em></span>
Above are two Northeast prospects whose names are buzzing around those in the know. [player_tooltip player_id='915436' first='Mahir' last='Jordan'] doesn't have much film to evaluate and it seems unlikely that the young man would get QB reps away from previous starter [player_tooltip player_id="251953" first="Sabor" last="Stevens"] who is entering his final year at the high school. Nonetheless, it'll be interesting to see if Jordan can make some kind of impact on the field this Fall. As for [player_tooltip player_id='1091189' first='Lazaryus' last='Toombs'], freshman tape could be found and it was impressive in comparison with some on this list. We will see how reps are shared and distributed this Fall in what should be a revamped front-seven at Northeast. The program has reloaded after losing numerous prospects to the next level. Toombs has the motor and build to impact the Vikings' season in a positive way.
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1105789' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] | 6'1, 140 | WR/ATH | South Philadelphia</strong></span></em></span>
[player_tooltip player_id='1105789' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] doesn't have much of a Twitter presence to my knowledge. Color me surprised when his Hudl had a 10-minute freshman tape on a team that I cover in the Fall. Johnson acted as South Philadelphia's quarterback as a freshman, carrying quite the load on offense. Johnson is still a huge question mark to me, I'm hoping this Fall can clear up many of those questions. [player_tooltip player_id='1105789' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] looks like an athlete who is slotted into the quarterback position, yet he can flash some solid throws in the short areas of the field. His weight leaves a lot left to be desired, but his height is ideal for the position, as well as at wide out. No matter Johnson's future position, South Philly might have a prospect worthy of another look.
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="386313" first="Saimire" last="Locks"] | 6'2, 170 | DB/WR | Simon Gratz </strong></span></em></span>
<span style="font-size: 14pt"><em><span style="text-decoration: underline"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="386312" first="Qhyzir" last="Clark"] | LB | Simon Gratz </strong></span></em></span>
I am admittedly unfamiliar with both of these prospects but plan on attending a Simon Gratz game this season. I hope to familiarize myself with Locks, an on-paper giant defensive back who has apparently already recieved offers out of Temple and Delaware State, two Division 1 programs who only pull triggers on prospects this young if the said prospect is legit. I'm leaning towards taking those staffs' words on [player_tooltip player_id="386313" first="Saimire" last="Locks"], who looks to be one of the better athletes coming out of the Public League this Fall. [player_tooltip player_id="386312" first="Qhyzir" last="Clark"] is also on my radar.
