Playing as a wide receiver, he shows excellent skills. He was used on jet sweeps several times. When he gets the ball and hits the hole outside, he uses his athleticism to run past defenders. He also shows a good ability to catch the ball. He especially shows a good ability to high-point the ball when it is thrown near him. Gales also has good speed, and once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. He should be able to play varsity next year as a wide receiver and make an impact. He has excellent coverage skills. He is excellent at both playing inside and outside of the pocket. As a drop-back passer, he shows a good ability to scan the field and find open receivers. He was especially good at throwing the ball with anticipation. Then, when he gets outside the pocket, he does a good job of throwing on the run and keeping his eyes downfield.
