We are glad to welcome in new additions to our 2024 Prep Redzone Pennsylvania Rankings this weekend. Our "New Additions" piece will highlight some of the new names that have been introduced to the rankings. Over 200+ new names have been discovered throughout my travels, that including camps and showcases, team practices, 7v7 tournaments as well as word of mouth from coaches around the state. Below are just some of the new offensive linemen added to our recent update. We hope to see each climb our rankings in the future. [player_tooltip player_id="377053" first="Adham" last="Abouraya"] | 6’5, 280 | Downingtown East Here’s a monster offensive lineman out of Downingtown East who debuted inside our top-100. Abouraya is cut pretty lean for being a 280-pound left tackle. I don’t come across too many 280-pounders who can move in space the way this young man can. Athleticism will be what college coaches value most in this current version of Abouraya. Downingtown East often deploys multiple linemen in-line to block on run plays, allowing Abouraya to pull into running lanes and seal off defenders, an area he excels in. He’s an excellent down blocker as well. I don’t get to see too much pass-protection reps out of PA linemen in general, the few that this young man had were solid. Again, his feet are nimble enough when pulling that you’d imagine his skillset would translate to pass-pro. Excited to see more. https://twitter.com/adhamabouraya/status/1454564273057849344?s=20&t=qybkRNiNrgOGckrpjQQZxQ [player_tooltip player_id="307569" first="Sammy" last="Ayache"] | 6’3, 275 | Bethlehem Catholic First saw Ayache at a big man clinic earlier in the year. Ayache was the best linemen present at the clinic, you could make the case that the young man was the best linemen at our Prep Redzone camp this past May, where Ayache took home 1st-team All-Camp honors at his position as a top-performer. His tape flashes Division 1 potential, so it was nice to see the kid live twice before really diving into his film. Love that Ayache can double as a run-stopper at defensive end, where he’ll have a future is at o-line. Love his ability to pass-protect when at left tackle. Smooth feet and kick-back, flexible hips that allow him to absorb rushes, anchor and steer defenders out of the play. He isn’t seen reaching often, something that I also picked up when seeing him live. Some of the best pass-protection reps you can find in PA as far as sophomore tape is concerned. Ayache can also protect the passer from the right tackle position as well. Position versatility is a huge plus considering he isn’t the largest human being. [player_tooltip player_id="377367" first="Brady" last="Boyle"] | 6’2, 240 | McKeesport Has both right and left tackle capabilities. Awesome overall strength makes up for his somewhat average size. Boyle will provide some attitude along the line, wanting to drive his defender into the dirt, catching off balanced pursuers off guard to finish his blocks. Looks balanced and under control after his first step in the hole. Majority of his reps are run-blocking reps, McKeesport often has him kicked inside into the interior of the line due to the great drive in his legs. To top it all off, Boyle has some reps at center, providing a full spectrum of run-blocking to any team he is on. This versatility must prove valuable in the eyes of the McKeesport coaching staff. [player_tooltip player_id="377054" first="Caleb" last="Brewer"] | 6’5, 285 | Wyomissing [player_tooltip player_id="377054" first="Caleb" last="Brewer"]’s name has been popping around during this year’s camp circuit. Head Coach Steven O’Neil made sure to advise me on just how impressive some of his testing numbers were. Brewer is on paper recording a 5.2 40-time, as well as an 8’4 broad jump at a recent Penn State camp. Awesome numbers for Brewer who currently stands at 6’5, 285 pounds. All the impressive marks aside, the young man’s tape is good enough to do all the talking for him. Brewer fit right in with a star-studded offensive line group that absolutely moved people last Fall. His prowess along the defensive line aside, Brewer’s got a nasty initial punch that is powerful enough to floor defenders who can’t take the hit. Punishing mover who can even align inside. We talked about how well he tested at camps recently, that athleticism shows up when this kid is on the move. There is so much power underneath Brewer’s legs, it’s tough to not have him play both ways. This name will blow up before you know it. https://twitter.com/CalebBrewer55/status/1540689801233448961?s=20&t=qybkRNiNrgOGckrpjQQZxQ [player_tooltip player_id="305073" first="Forey" last="Chery"] | 6’2, 295 | Cheltenham Many new names are entering Cheltenham. You can find ones from last Fall or on the current roster, it’s a roster that is certainly shaping up to contend for a title. Out of all the names on radar, somehow this one got lost. I used the word "disrespectful" to describe his game and I mean that in the best of ways. Coaches across the country stress that they want a lineman who is mean, aggressive, punishing. [player_tooltip player_id="305073" first="Forey" last="Chery"] has a little bit of all that and some. Chery is one of the most physically imposing interior linemen in this class. Incredible drive off the ball, vice grips for hands that latch on to whatever he can grasp. This man plays to the whistle, a tad beyond it at times, but this style of play sets the tone for any defender thinking they’ll get an easy pass through the trenches. I’m hoping for a ten-minute tape full of pancakes after this Fall. [player_tooltip player_id="377188" first="Jack" last="Dendall"] | 6’3, 275 | Wilson [player_tooltip player_id="377188" first="Jack" last="Dendall"] is a prospect whose tape I saw just before submitting my final rankings draft. Happy I got to find his tape, it’s one that earned him a top-150 spot on our rankings, something that should be praised for a newcomer. Dendall’s tape provides just over four minutes of pancakes, it’s the best way to describe it. Dendall, primarily serving as Wilson’s right tackle, usually wins early in a rep. The young man brings all of his weight and force when down-blocking, the sum often being too much for small defenders to handle. The competition level is solid but I’d love to see how Dendall would do against elite competition. This is a kid that will eventually be all over PSAC boards this time next year, so long as he continues to stay in the books and develop on the field. https://twitter.com/dendall_jack/status/1538587043244163073?s=20&t=qybkRNiNrgOGckrpjQQZxQ [player_tooltip player_id="377549" first="Dyson" last="Delaney"] 6’3, 285 | Jersey Shore Glad to finally get this young man on the rankings list. We begin with a modest/low rank because of the limited tape. We stress the same sentiment since the last evaluation on the young man’s tape. Raw prospect, great physical tools that need to be refined. One thing I will say, since his last evaluation, Delaney has done nothing but work, travel to camps, and work some more. Exactly the kind of offseason you’d want to see from a prospect who wants to play at a high level. The work has only just begun. Excited to get him on the rankings, even more excited to see what he can provide as an upperclassman this Fall.
