Let’s be honest, for most of the Fall, one headline took up most of the media attention surrounding Southern Columbia, which was undeserved in my opinion. That was the incredible winning streak that came to an end against a loaded Wyomissing team in Week 6. The streak that everyone should be talking about is the incredible 5-peat this program is on in the 2A Class. Five straight years of dominating football were put on display by the Tigers, beating opponents in championship games by an average of 43 points. I could write for hours on the whopping numbers and statistics the kids at this program put forth. I am a huge fan of the talent in District Four, but let’s state the obvious, State-Title runs will have to go through this powerhouse. Southern Columbia boasts talent across every class, proving they are always ready to reload after a senior class graduates.
Southern Columbia will set their sights on what would potentially be its six-straight title run in as many years. They will do so with Braeden Wisloski Braeden Wisloski 5’10” | 185 lbs | ATH Southern Columbia | 2023 State PA leading the way. A top-35 prospect in his class, you could make a case that there aren’t 20 prospects in Pennsylvania that hold more value to their program than Wisloski is to Southern Columbia. The Maryland commit exemplifies athlete. Many times, we account versatile players who play multiple positions as “athletic”. That they are. Yet Wisloski would be labeled one of the best athletes in the state regardless of position versatility. His acceleration in the open field is top tier. His ability to change gears effortlessly is on par with the elite backs in the state. Everything else he does is just icing on the cake. The Southern Columbia freight train is powered by this young man. I expect Wisloski to shatter personal records this Fall.
I am happy to see Treshock, whom I clamor for PSAC coaches to pay attention to in the past, finally, gain traction in recruiting. His rank as a top-250 player in the state gives him an FCS-grade from me. He hasn’t hit that threshold just yet, but it’s a ceiling that the young man can certainly reach if he puts forth a dominant Fall campaign. Treshock was recently offered by Clarion University, I know for a fact that other PSACs have their eyes on Treshock as well. So long as the young man puts the blinders on and continues to work the way he has, more recruitment opportunities will present themselves. For all the flash this offense has put up in the past, you need dogs like Treshock who set the tone in the trenches on both sides of the ball. Every championship team needs a Treshock in their locker room.
We are excited to finally get Colden Bloom Colden Bloom 5’11” | 200 lbs | LB Southern Columbia | 2024 State PA on the rankings, debuting in the top 300 of the recent 2024 update. We spoke briefly about Bloom’s alignment versatility in a recent piece highlighting new names to the site. I am intrigued in this kid’s ceiling not only in on-field production but even recruiting. A future along the defensive line might be a stretch when projecting beyond Southern Columbia. Potential suitors will find a way to use this skillset somewhere, I’m excited to see his future unfold.
Highlights
Garrett Garcia
Garrett Garcia
Garrett Garcia not being on our 2024 rankings is an oversight and something that needs to be rectified before the season. Ranking aside, the All-State 2A linebacker could be the face of the program’s defense along with standout linebacker and teammate Dominic Fetterolf Dominic Fetterolf 6’1″ | 215 lbs | LB Southern Columbia | 2025 State PA . An actual tackling machine, many credit Garcia with over 200 total tackles last Fall, as a sophomore. A nose for the ball carrier that rivals many of the elite-FBS talents in the state. If you’re looking for a perfect blend of instincts and discipline at the linebacker position, you can find it in Garcia. The young man would be a national recruit on a different team with production like this. Excited to see what he will put forth this Fall. Personally, I would love to see how he’d do given safety reps, but the young man is far too valuable to move away from the front seven. Top-10 LBer if rankings are done today.
Blake Wise Blake Wise 6’1″ | 155 lbs | QB Southern Columbia | 2024 State PA was the man behind center, calling the plays for the 2A state Champions as a sophomore. I have spoken volumes about Wise’s potential and how I believe he is poised to break out in District Four. His first season saw modest production, 550+ yards thrown with 11 scores to his name in just 60 attempts. Production was scarce but wow throws were not. As an outsider, it’s tough to figure out what direction the coaching staff will ultimately take this Fall, yet the potential for a District passing leader is evident in Wise. Priority number one will be to help the prestigious program stay on a winning bath.

Kickers deserve love too! Especially the ones who can punt, and kickoff the way this young man can. Not to mention Carter’s prowess in the classroom, boasting a 4.29 weighted GPA. Carter also stands out on the soccer field and basketball court. Carter nailed a whopping 75 of 81 PATs last Fall, just another reason this team succeeds at the level they do, there is a clear and evident focus on special teams. Carter is a huge part of that.
Dominic Fetterolf Dominic Fetterolf 6’1″ | 215 lbs | LB Southern Columbia | 2025 State PA secured his all-state linebacker status as a freshman. It was a joy to watch a young player develop and soak in the knowledge around him. Special prospects learn from those around them, whether it be from the coaching staff or veteran teammates around him, you want to see freshmen engaged and focused. Fetterolf exemplified this. There aren’t too many linebacker tandems in Pennsylvania that can rival the duo of Fetterolf and Garcia. What’s exciting is projecting what Fetterolf might look like two-three years from now. Has the young man even filled his pads out yet? What’s the ceiling for his build? There’s a ton of intrigue surrounding the kid and it’s deserved. One thing’s for sure, he’s going to make his presence felt in the front seven.
