Pinson Valley has a loaded roster in 2022, and could very well end up as one of the top schools in the state!   [player_tooltip player_id="268903" first="Connor" last="Knight"]-DT |6’3 275| [player_tooltip player_id="268903" first="Connor" last="Knight"] is unstoppable on the interior defensive line and has been gaining a ton of traction on the recruiting trail this offseason due to his fantastic film. Knight has great size, explosive power, great speed, and can play against the run and pass equally well. On tape Knight presents the great ability to stuff the run, and also pursue the QB, his play recognition and motor make him a constant threat to opposing offenses. Knight added a ton to his offer sheet throughout last winter/spring and has programs like Miami, Arkansas, South Carolina, and many more wanting to add the DT to their 2023 class.   [player_tooltip player_id="290494" first="TJ" last="Metcalf"]-S |6’1 180| [player_tooltip player_id="290494" first="TJ" last="Metcalf"] has developed into one of the top safeties in the nation over the last few years and is going to be a massive problem for opposing offenses in the 6A this fall. Metcalf is found everywhere on the field and can do everything you need in a DB. With his speed, vision, hands, and punishing tackles, Metcalf seems to find the ball and make plays in every way possible for his team. Offensively, Metcalf is a quick RB that does a great job of seeing and executing on the field, he finds the right opportunity to strike, and makes plays. Defensively, Metcalf is very talented at DB, just like his brother. Metcalf has great closing speed, hands, and coverage ability that allows him to consistently contest passes/make plays on the ball. Metcalf has been having a great summer at camps, and currently lists offers from Alabama A&M, Jackson State, and Arkansas, and will likely be adding more to that list this fall!   [player_tooltip player_id="235368" first="Amare" last="Thomas"]-WR |5’11 180| [player_tooltip player_id="235368" first="Amare" last="Thomas"] is an electric playmaker and reliable pass catcher for Pinson Valley, and as he is heading into his senior season he is set to have a big year this fall. Thomas has great speed, hands, and is terrific at getting separation due to his sharp route-running ability. Thomas is a threat outside-he plays through contact really well, has the speed to stretch the field, and is able to create a bunch of yards after the catch. After receiving a plethora of offers from Penn State, Tulane, Arkansas State, and more, Thomas just recently pledged his commitment to the University of Virginia!
