had a terrific sophomore year last fall for Hewitt-Trussville, playing quarterback in the 7A is no easy task and Floyd showed a lot of promise on film last fall. Statistically speaking, Floyd completed 68-97 pass attempts for 1,064 yards and 10 touchdowns through the air, with an additional 470 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground- showing that he was a natural under center for the Huskies. Floyd sees the field really well and has an accurate arm that pair together nicely- he makes the correct reads and can fit the ball into some really tight windows. When it comes to his mobility Floyd uses it to his advantage greatly- he can easily escape pressure, make throws on the run, and can scramble for good gains on the ground as well. Heading into 2022, there’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to this Hewitt-Trussville offense, especially when it comes to their passing attack with Floyd at the helm.

is a one-man wrecking crew for Lincoln on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Turner lines up at RB and has the vision and explosiveness to break off some huge runs. Turner is a super patient RB that will wait for the perfect moment to strike and uses that vision to find the best lane possible for the play, and when he hits it, he takes off. Defensively, Turner is a tackling machine at OLB that does not take plays off. His effort cannot be questioned, especially when you look at the stats he put up last fall- he recorded 55 total tackles (30 solo, 4 for loss) and one sack. Turner has a terrific motor and pursuit and sees the field just as well as he does on the opposite side of the ball, helping him consistently track down and make plays on the ball carrier.

lines up as both an ILB and OLB but shows his real dominance when he’s placed on the edge. Mack is huge, fast, and hits like a truck- sometimes on film, he delivers hits that just make you really feel bad for whoever is carrying the ball. Against the pass, Mack is a quarterback’s worst nightmare, he causes so many issues for opposing offenses as a pass rusher. If he’s not bringing down the QB, he is definitely bringing the heat to him, he constantly generates pressure by using his unique set of pass rush moves against lesser offensive linemen. Mack’s play consistently alters the course of plays entirely, and with him and Jalin EdwardsJalinEdwards

on the opposite side of the ball, Grissom’s opponents should prepare to face a tenacious pass rush this fall.

, we were able to find this explosive back. Harris, a dual athlete in both track and football has some ridiculous speed- when in the open field he flat out flies past defenders with ease. In addition to his speed, Harris runs with a ton of power that doesn’t let defenders take him down without a fight, and with that strength paired with his impressive elusiveness, this guy is going to be a problem going forward. With former Gardendale RB LT Sanders at Western Kentucky now, we expect to see Jonathan HarrisJonathanHarris

assume a bigger role in their rushing attack this fall- and with his potential, there is a lot to be excited about heading into this season.

is a really versatile athlete that had a season full of big moments last fall for South Lamar. Neal makes sure to contribute in all three phases of the game and does so really well. On offense, Neal lines up at both RB and WR and has a ton of talent at both positions. Neal has good speed, hands, elusiveness, and route running and blocking abilities that cement him as a pivotal piece of South Lamar’s offense. On defense, Neal lines up at FS and shuts down opposing passing attacks when in coverage, he applies a lot of the same traits he uses on offense, to be a ball-hawking, hard-hitting safety in their secondary. On special teams, Neal does a great job as a KR, PR, and gunner, no matter where he is, expect him to put his team in the best field position possible. Overall, Neal is an especially talented plater that truly gives his team his all wherever they line him up.
