After this most recent rankings update, we will begin breaking down the top prospects from each of the 12 districts in Pennsylvania.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="249031" first="Kade" last="Capristo"] | 6’3, 295 | OL | Mt. Lebanon</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="91825" first="Drevon" last="Miller-Ross"] | 6’0, 170 | DB | Sto-Rox</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="64005" first="Cadin" last="Olsen"] | 6’5, 220 | QB | Armstrong</span></strong></span></em>
[player_tooltip player_id="249031" first="Kade" last="Capristo"] acts as the highest-ranking, most valuable piece in this second part of the Top thirty WPIAL prospects. Deciding between the incredible list has me splitting hairs at times. You can make the case that any of the athletes below could be ranked higher or just as high as anyone else on the list, this is how evenly spread the talent is in this District. The All-State, 1st-team All-Conference OL and 2021 State Champion leads the second half, providing Mt. Lebanon with exemplary offensive line play. Each athlete in this tier is the first representative of their school, next being Sto-Rox’s [player_tooltip player_id="91825" first="Drevon" last="Miller-Ross"], along with Armstrong’s [player_tooltip player_id="64005" first="Cadin" last="Olsen"]. The 2020 WPIAL passing leader is a threat to take home that title each year he is on the field. Sto-Rox is littered with talent across the board, arguably, none better than DMR, who has picked up three total FCS offers this month alone.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="249238" first="Abdallah" last="Daud"] | 6’5, 280 | OL | North Allegheny</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="66054" first="Aidan" last="Besselman"] | 6’2, 185 | ATH | Upper St. Clair</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="91796" first="Jamaal" last="Brown"] | 5’11, 210 | RB | Upper St. Clair</span></strong></span></em>
I have an affinity for elite, aggressive linemen. [player_tooltip player_id="249238" first="Abdallah" last="Daud"] fits that mold. North Allegheny’s first representative on the list, Daud sits as a top 60 player on our rankings yet is out of the top ten at his position. This isn’t due to any deficiency in his game or play, this speaks more about the depth at his position. Pennsylvania flaunts 60+ great linemen in 2023 and 2024 alone. Not many better than Daud.
Upper St. Clair gets into the mix with two stud prospects, both serving as top-70 overall athletes. The first is one of the more coveted prospects amongst FCS and local G5 programs. [player_tooltip player_id="66054" first="Aidan" last="Besselman"] can provide legitimately elite reps at wideout or defensive back. His versatility on the football field lands him as a top-10 ATH in his class. Last in this list is [player_tooltip player_id="91796" first="Jamaal" last="Brown"], a prospect that deservedly received an FBS grade out of me. This status has still evaded the top-10 running back outside of military academies, I’d bet good money a G5/P5 will take a chance on this young man down the road.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="87841" first="Joseph" last="Enick"] | 6’3, 260 | DL | Penn-Trafford</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="92676" first="Peyton" last="Faulkner"] | 6’4, 225 | TE | Avonworth</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="64050" first="Dashawn" last="Carter"] | 6’3, 200 | DL | South Allegheny</span></strong></span></em>
The second Penn-Trafford prospect on the list, joining future-Owl [player_tooltip player_id="248113" first="Conlan" last="Greene"]. [player_tooltip player_id="87841" first="Joseph" last="Enick"] and [player_tooltip player_id="248113" first="Conlan" last="Greene"] have both recently committed to Group-of-Five programs, Enick announcing his commitment to Central Michigan less than three weeks ago. The trio listed above are all massive DL-capable athletes who all received FBS grades after re-evaluation. Faulkner, a quality basketball player and third-ranked tight end, has just about every local FCS school clamoring for positioning. Same goes for Dahsawn Carter, who cleared up his future intentions quick, announcing his commitment to Youngstown State early in May.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="248215" first="Luke" last="Lawson"] | 6’3, 200 | DB | Seneca Valley</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="248748" first="Nate" last="Lindsey"] | 6’0, 180 | DB | Aliquippa</span></strong></span></em>
Next, we have top-100 players [player_tooltip player_id="248215" first="Luke" last="Lawson"] and [player_tooltip player_id="248748" first="Nate" last="Lindsey"], who are the second and third legitimate defensive backs in this list. The number of defensive backs coming out of the WPIAL is staggering to say the least. Lindsey has an argument to be ranked inside the Top-50, a spot I wouldn’t mind placing him in November. Amongst our Top-15 ranked defensive backs, a whopping nine of them are out of District 7, both Lawson and Lindsey fall into that ranking.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="357941" first="Kyle" last="Lenhart"] | 6’3, 280 | OL | Shenango</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="357942" first="Kellen" last="McDonough"] | 6’5, 260 | OL | Woodland Hills</span></strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">[player_tooltip player_id="145883" first="Chase" last="Arrington"] | 5’10, 180 | DB | North Catholic</span></strong></span></em>
Last but certainly not least are three prospects who still may be under-rated despite making top-100 appearances in almost all of our ranking updates. Kent State and Miami of Ohio have made it clear, they are in on Shenango’s [player_tooltip player_id="357941" first="Kyle" last="Lenhart"], as are many FCS schools. [player_tooltip player_id="357942" first="Kellen" last="McDonough"] will act as the top-ranking Woodland Hills senior, out-ranking teammates [player_tooltip player_id="371000" first="Noah" last="Hutcherson"] & [player_tooltip player_id="178643" first="DeVaughn" last="McClinton"]. [player_tooltip player_id="145883" first="Chase" last="Arrington"] finishes out the Top-100, a prospect out of North Catholic whose recruitment deserves a spike in the right direction. His time is coming, once it does, we can expect to see Arrington back into the Top-50 where I personally think he belongs.
